Went to Supercheap today to check out what they had. At the moment they have a couple of polishers that I am considering.

One is like a big angle grinder @ $89.99 and the other is like a big orbital sander, upright with 2 handles @ $49.99. Which would be better suited to my task of paint restoring?

Cheers

try the mothers clay bar system and spend a few hours playing by hand,i did this to the wifes ltd after i bought it at auction, the colour looked a light brown and flat, after using the clay for a long time on one panel the colour changed to gunmetal and the clear polished up like glass\really slick to touch, then polish it.the best i did was 1 part after work each day,you have to remove the contamination layer to reach the new layer, with out cutting excess paint off.for the machines try ebay----i picked up 6 speed rotarys cheap, but i am a tool collector.

Thanks Hans

I might just try that and see what happens. Might save some dollars in the process.

Not yet Hans, concentrating on getting it running first. When I have it blue slipped I'll attack the paint. Only started doing something before because I was waiting for bits and needed a change :)
