I posted these in my build thread but thought i'd start thread in here for some general discussions
Not sure which one of these throttle bodies i should buy just yet, any input would be appreciated This ones a SS Inductions 'Big Mouth' throttle body, just doesn't say what size it is on the ebay listing This ones listed as - FORD PERFORMANCE BIG BORE THROTTLE BODY 69MM If there's any more you guys know of please feel free to post up some links and info Also looking at some ignition coils at moment and these are the ones i've been thinking of This is JEGS unit - putting out around 43000 volts This is the ACCEL unit - around 10-15% more energy than standard This is the MSD unit (require 3 of these) - around same performance as blaster 2 coils (max 45000 volts) Feel free to give your opinions or advice as i want to get these within next week so need to make a decision

Interesting, i may just go one of those for simplicity, thanks On another note i just noticed i can't use the first 2 coils on my motor now as i have already bought 9mm leads for it and they have wrong connections on them to use with those coils. So after some more searching around Jegs site i came up with these options These are JEGS units made for the Buick over in states but could be made to work with our cars - 43000 volts These are JEGS units for GM vehicles in states but obviously interchangeable - come in packs of 3 to, upto 45000 volts Would need to make custom loom to fit these connectors This is the ACCEL units for the GM vehicles - upto 45000 volts This is the ACCEL unit for buick - 42000 volts The MSD in post above can still be used on our motors, MSD doesn't seem to do a replacement coil for the Buick though unfortunately so can't compare. From my understanding all these coils can be used on our motors but will just need a custom loom made up to connect them - no biggy. If anyone has others to add to list feel free, we'll try and make this a 1 stop post when it comes to aftermarket coil availability and fitments for future reference

as for the coilpacks, the screamin demon one had my full attention, and for $150ish landed would be a great deal, was on my to-buy list before i decided to sell. |

I know this is a really stupid question but what's the standard throttle body size for the ED/EF (I'm pretty sure EA MPFI - EL all use the same size throttle body)??
Could that Ford Performance Throttle Body be used on the standard Manifold on the ED?

60mm throttle bodies are what the 6's got iirc.
should bolt straight on mate, they are stock items machined out.
