the auto wont go into 2nd gear in normal mode but if u s**t into second or manual downshift into second from a higher gear it will.
also goes into overdrive 4th even when it is in manual 3rd
but if u go back and hold 3rd and dont go into forth then it will stay in 3rd which is what it should be doing.

is this a problem with number 2 solinoid?

can u do a self test on these things like the eb-el falcons?

soleniod 1 is the shift soleniod but will normally go into limp mode when faulted. have you ran a diagnostic to check for fault codes.
