can you put a tray on a xr8 ute and make it a 1 tonner or is it only rated at 750 kg's

need stiffer leafs and change the rims, will be sweet.

nothing stopping you from putting a tray on, though if you want to carry a tonne, you'll need to upgrade all the suspension components to 1 tonne spec (and that leaves a miserable choice of tyres) and get it recertified by an engineer
