G'day
I bought an au xr6 t5 gearbox. I ve heard that they are longer than the original t5's in the xf, is this true? If so do i just have to move the gearbox support crossmember back. Will the shifter fit in the same hole as the current box. What about the tail shaft, does it have to be shortened? Cheers

No the XF T5 is the same basic box as the AU one, and even the BA one. Interals are a lot different. Here have a look see. http://www.moderndriveline.com/Technica ... istory.htm
They used world class T5's in the XFs as they where only introduced in 87'. |

Arh, that all depends on what box you've got in there at the moment. The yokes are different to the autos, but the length is the same.

there are only 3 sizes of slip flanges, 38mm dia (short) 38mm dia (long) and 42mm. if you need one drop me a line, im in s.e melb. they will be the original new spicer slip flange. the shaft shouldnt have to be re-balanced if changed over. have universal joints also if needed.
