Hey Guys,
I just bought a 2003 BA 5.4L LTD. I wanted to know what type of exhaust system people recommend for it. Last time i got an exhaust it was for a 6 cyl EA mont auto. I had a really good system, not droney at all so as not to be annoying when cruising at low RPM, and had a really nice throaty note higher up. I don't wanna anything too excessive (deafeningly loud). suggestions? thanks |

You will just need to make sure it does not have an enoying drone. |

If you want to keep it quiet and get good gains all round just get a 2nd hand GT or XR8 system for it. I've got most(minus the cat pipes) of one of these systems for sale if you're interested for $250.
It was only used for 10K on a BA Mk2 GT. |

twin 2.5inch system mate. xforce & difillipo seem to be pretty popular muffler choices.
and some pacemaker extractors and high flow cats if youve got the cash. single 3 inch pipes usually sound pretty s**t and drone really bad. pay the cash and do it right and i doubt you'll regret it. these 3 valve motors respond really well to exhaust systems as the factory one is way to restrictive. make sure you post up a video of it once you've got it done
