I don't have pics anymore but it looks pretty good
My old XR6 had blue LED's in dash itself as well and you could see couple hotspots but wasn't too bad, if i was to do it with blue LED's again i would sand the underside of the needles removing the orange coat and paint them white so you can see them at night

hi, i have blue leds in my el xr6 dash, i am using ef white needles. i bought mine from jaycar and soldered/fitted them myself. they were 10,000mcd 5mm, brightest i have found. odometer is a little dull but is still readable. cost around $4.00 ea to make. you can buy them premade in autobarn or outbound and elsewhere ,they cost about $7 a pair. i used 12 t5s for dash, trip comp, demist and climate control ignition key lamp and a blue inverted led t10 for my tbar indicator in the console. im happy with the look. to make the leds light spread better i just rubbed scotchbrite over the lenses otherwise it will concentrate the light in the middle.

can use a fork also. avoid bending the shaft too. make sure you mark where they were pointing to on the side of the faces, to make it easier to refit

I used a fork too, just go slow it will come off. I have a blue odometer and it looks awsome(no pics sorry) Had to do it becuse the rest was of the cluster was blue and the orange stood out real bad. Only prob i had was the paper i put in to replace the filter looked s**t it was a grainy and u could seen the texture of the paper, so i replaced it with a bit of transparent blue plastic from a folder/enlope thing i brought from safeway and it looked awsome. I have an EL mont btw
