my alarm keeps going off, i lock the car it beeps to say its locked then about 5 later the alarm just goes off. Does any one know what this could be.?

From alarms I've had on cars, the main causes for them going off was:
1. Faulty contact switches for the bonnet & boot 2. A fault in the car wiring circuit (which is hard to find if you're clueless about electronics) 3. Vibration sensors reacting to V8s going past 4. Having part of the alarm system wired into something that draws power Is the alarm factory or aftermarket?

pretty sure it after market came with the car but there is a switch at the bonnet thats got a pin in it old it down

If you have faulty bonnet/boot switches that use an earth to activate the alarm, it's better to replace them. Places like d**k Smith sell them (but I prefer Jaycar). Without a manual or the original instructions, it will be difficult to know how the alarm works or how it's programmed.
An alarm installer (like AutoBarn) may be able to identify what sort of alarm it is, and/or rectify the problem.
