Which piston you talking about???

http://www.aclperformance.com.au/Ford4. ... istons.htm

What would be the highest comp with this piston before you start getting into problems with timing chain and so on???

Also i think hypatec also do a piston for 4.0L engines as well but carnt trace down a catalogue???

thats the pistons I was running. I am going to be using the hypatecs, but they have a 6cc dish in them dropping the comp.

I took 0.013" from the block and I think 0.050" from the head to get the 11.3 I had with the AU mls head gasket, but in saying that, when the motor blew up, there were indentations on the tops of the pistons from the valves hitting on 4 of the pistons. Piston to valve clearance was checked when i built the motor, but only on #1 cylinder and funnily enough #1 didnt have any marks. The new pistons will have bigger fly cuts put into them to help prevent this again

macxr8 ... are u using winsor valves in your new head....

it seems that the only valves available are std material valves....would like some stainless ones on the exhaust at least seeing as it runs lpg....

seems quite a bit of mixing and matching to get things done...may get a bit expensive for my budget build......would rather put the money toward a windsor build

standard valves seem to hold up to LPG perfectly fine.

am putting in 4v Clevo valves, machined down on the head to suit the AU head

Not 100% sure but yes I think it is more

maxxr8, id love to hear how that 510 goes when you get around to putting it in and finishing your build. The system you are running is similar to what I'm aiming for. I'm after the 9.6:1 ratio ACL rebuild kit, but with an AU head gasket and XR6 head, which has been machined at least once, it will probably be heading towards 10:1 maybe? Nowhere near your old setup though!! I'm assuming that was straight gas though?

Does anyone else have experience with the S510 on a NA I6 falcon? or some real world figures on flow restriction and/or pressure drop across the throttle body?

BTW EFFalcon, thanks for the heads up on Swift Automotive, especially since I'm in Vic.
