would an xd cast iron head fit an 1987 xf efi?

I was told they would, and was talking to a ford nut, they stated that if you putting a reco'd XD or pre alloy head onto an efi motor and with some bottom end work it would have wonders with a turbo application.

The inlet manifolds are different and won't swap over. Iron head manifold with iron head, and alloy head manifold with alloy head. The exhaust manifolds are different too, hence why you see the "one fits all" extractors, have heaps of holes in the plates.
