hello everyone i have been doing my eb falcon up abit lately but i dont know why when it gets warm it gets hard to start dont have a clue what it is its really starting to piss me off but when its cold it starts fine and good but if i shut it off after it gets abit warm it starts doing it. Sometimes it just starts and the revs start hunting. Does it also when idling and selecting reverse then stalls out. Dont know where to start anyone have a list of what it could be.
cheers for any replys |

Have you checked your high tension leads lately? Had a similar issue with mum's ebII about 5 years ago and it turned out number 6 lead was high resistance. New leads and good as gold. You can test them with a multimeter on the ohms setting. If they are over 10K ohm, they should be replaced. No 1 and 2 will be a little lower in resistance whilst No 5 and 6 will be a bit higher. This is because 6 is furthest from the dizzy and 1 closest on the EB.

Does it also smell like it is running rich?
If so, check the map sensor Vacuum line for cracks and splits. BenJ
