If it's got dual 4ohm, then yes you can still run it at 2ohm. Make sure you put the two terminals in parallel and not in series. It depends on your amplifier if it can handle 2 Ohm or 4 Ohm or even 1 Ohm. If your amplifier can only handle 4 Ohm, it is wise not to run your subs at 2 Ohm load or else you'll kill your amp.
I don't think you can make 2 Ohms out of the extra single voice coil sub...however running your dual voice coil in series to make 8 Ohms and then in parallel with the 2nd sub will deduce the rating to 4 Ohm...if you want to run it at 4 Ohm. Hope that helps. phong =P~

Just looked up the Alpine website and they dont even give specs on the coil ohmage! I find it pretty crap that they would offer a dual 4 ohm voice coil as the only good options are 8 or 2 ohms where as most amps safely operate at 4 ohms. I have dual 2ohm JL sub that gives you the option of a standard 4 ohm or a serious 1 ohm. Maybe they do offer other options but the website is rather vague.

Sorry bit off topic but s**t yeh they have the dopes the previous alpine lineup all woofer models had under the tech specs tabs listed the ohms per coil rating - doh! lol SWR-1222D = SubWoofer (SW) TypeR (R) - 12" (12) 22 (2+2ohm) D (DVC) I was gonna say as they supply both dual 2 ohm coil and dual 4 ohm coil configurations across almost all their woofer ranges

To get a 2 ohm load you would have to run 2 4 ohm subwoofers in series the 2 combined well equal to a 2 ohm load
