Yeah kinda thought not. Can the interior be changed? I know you can put ef/el dashes in with quite a bit of modding,to get the demister etc to work, what about door cards? Would they fit? Or is this to much work? Reason I'm asking, I'm looking at getting an xg ute as a project car, or could someone ... |

Hi all
I know that "e series" doors are all intechageable, but can anyone tell me for sure, if "e series" doors are interchangeable with xg/xh ute doors. Thanks in advance.
Cheers,

Can anyone tell me what the colour code is for xr6 springs and standard springs, I've got some springs here with purple dots on them, I don't know what they are out of. Thanks in advance for the help.

Unscrew the inside door handle the plastic screw grommets are used here. Round on the trim side square where it goes through the door skin. Good to hear you got your rivetnuts, Great score at 0.16 cents each or so, as I said I couldn't get any from ford, obsolete, They also wanted to charge me $5 so... |

When I put ef/el fairmont door trims in my ed I ended up using plastic screw grommets 10G in "Champion Panel Packs" available from Auto One. Only problem I had was one rear door was an early model ea/eb and didn't have the rivet holes, so I just screwed the armrest directly to the door. Th... |

Thanks for the info. I ve been told standard ed alternator is bigger than the ea/eb alternator and will run the fans with no problems, don't know with a "huge sound system " though. The ef/el alternator could struggle a bit as well. You may find you need a capacitor to help. You can fit ef... |

Hi all, just a quick one. I want to put thermo fans in my ed. I have the fans and Davies Craig kit, but I'm a bit reluctant to as everything else is stock, do I need to put an ef/el alternator in, or will my stock ed alternator do the job.
Cheers, Geoff |

OOps Just went back to the photos a bit of surface rust around the rear window. Still if that is all there is , it is in top condition. Should do some quick times, being 1200lb lighter than a "getting fast enough to require a roll cage " 3600lb car. I will follow this build with interest. ... |

Nearly 20 years in moth balls... it's got a good paint job as there doesn't appear to be any rust on it, well obvious rust in the photos. My ed is only 17 and has plenty. |

What happened to the eb returned to street use only? Years ago a mate of mine put a v6 Capri engine into a mk1. Used to drive to the drags, drop the exhaust and change the tyres, drag the car for the meet then changed it all back to drive home. Drove it around Perth for a while till he got pulled ov... |

Bummer, means by the sounds of that I'll have to get all ef/el gear, water pump, power steering pump, I knew I had to change the harmonic balancer. Is it all worth it? What are the advantages?

Sorry about that. Ben's taken two and a half years to build this car, I've taken two and a half weeks to read about this car, So was starting to go into withdrawals...... I was thinking if you use velcros, two strips on the floor and one along the back/ backseat it should hold it in place nicely. Ge... |
