Hey Ash I was thinking about LPG engines today...

Running on LPG you tend to burn off a little oil over time. LPG is a "dry" fuel and as such does not leave by-products from combustion in the engine.

Note that all engines burn oil.
It's just that running on petrol the oil gets diluted with petrol and other combustion by-products like water etc. The level may not seem to drop on the dipstick but the oil is being contaminated.

When you run LPG the oil stays cleaner generally. Over time the engine uses oil as it burns in the combustion process. So long as it remains clean and you only add a litre over 15000klm I would not be too worried. I will have a look at what the FG is using. I don't check it generally as it's a company car and is serviced every 12 weeks or so as 15k intervals come around.

Since you say the Terry has clean oil I would not bother swapping engines in any sort of hurry.

thats a lot of oil for a 200k engine I would think

My hard worked old EF uses less than that even with the cracked head!

I will be very interested to see how they work for you. I am still leaning towards the stiffer springs for $90.
