I didnt CC them because its no 11/1 comp drag motor. I think the factory would make the chambers fairly uniform anyway. We just measured the volume in the piston and made an educated guess. Around 9.6/1
The engine is running strong but as with any small capacity V8 it relies on revs to stay on song. Bit flat to about 3,000, at 3,500 you have a tsunami amount of torque!!!

How long before it's run in so you can get it on a dyno and down the strip? And around the track?

done 900 km!!!!! in the last 24 hours so the answer is not long. Shes already freed up a fair bit. Only problem is my aftermarket oil gauge, forgot to put plumbers tape around threads and is slightly weeping block/gauge.

you,d be suprised the chambers in my gt40p,s varied 4cc's ...which is quite a bit
guess its what YOU class as a blueprinted engine ....and everyone has their own ideas ??

Compression is alittle high for forced induction Plus GTP heads tend to lift with boost...

4cc's!!! must have been a shocking cast, those cast iron gt40 heads are good for the tip in my opinion. Don't even have stainless steel valves.

The 200kw cam and 1.7 RR are very underated IMO. My vehicle absolutely screams and scares the living christ out of me to 4,000rpm. 13.8/400m seems more realistic by the day.

I've driven a fair few of these things and I must admit this 5L that I have in the te50 is the strongest. Fuel economy you ask??????? 12.5L/100km running it in and that is varying the speed and playing with the gears.
The way it revs is just magic!!!! non of this crappy vibration that you get with a 347. I'm afraid to give it WOT anywhere but a major highway, just too bloody dangerous lol and I've only pushed it to 4g.

Well I lined up my brothers mate in his flat 14 second Mazda MPS 3 and it was a line ball drag race. yet to rev past 5,000rpm but feels like it will keep on pulling to 6,000 (make power). Very unusual seeing that I've put a 1 inch phelonic spacer between the two manifold halves??
Makes big power but relies on revs, not much under 3,000rpm.

Good to see it all up and running.

Seems strange that it has little pull under 3000rpm with the std cam. I take it you fitted an adjustable cam timing gear? Where was it set too?

Cant wait to see it making some numbers, both on the track and rollers.

How's the timing? Sounds like you could do with some advance maybe?

Funny you mention that Scaffy because I was going to elongate the TPS holes to bump it up a little ( I don't have dizzy like yourself only a cam sensor that times the injectors.
I actually set the sensor to the exact same position as a 200kw xr8 had down in the yard of a local ford dealer (What a nice bloke let me pull it apart!)
Anyhow the ECU didn't like it one bit, revs fluctuated and was running very fuelly. Set it to the same position it was in before and bingo shes happy again???
This fuel injection all too hard LOL

TPS does nothing for timing.
What does same position mean?...what voltage?
The cam sensor does not time the injectors, the crank encoder does.
The CID sensor is only for signifying what stroke the cyl 1 is on for start of fuel injector timing, the actual firing events are marked by the crank encoder.
If you can make an adjustable crank sensor mount you'll be able to adjust base timing with that.
Get your TPS to 0.98volts for the least lag between idle and part throttle modes and therefore best performance.
