So I hit up ebay again.
New blackout tint on the way for the tail lights.
Plus a OBD2 scanner. So as soon as that arrives I can clear the annoying beeping and lights every time I turn the car on or indicate. Better yet it has some software that I can use to get power and torque readings as well as a 1/4 mile time. So I'm pretty excited about that

True lol sounds awesome mate. Mine does sound a fair chunk deeper, but I love the crackle you get when you back off. Does it burble when you compression brake? (drop it into first while doing 60 ish and just letting it coast down). Used to love that sound my BA had when I did that, does it slightly in the FG, but because it's not as loud as the BA was you can barely hear it.

Sure does. Driving up and down Mt Glorious in Brissy with my mate it sounded like a truck when I tried saving my brake pads with compression braking :D
Sooo much noise! I've noticed it all depends on how I'm driving, up hill, down hill, if I'm driving like an idiot or not ;)

Just went back through your mods list, just realized yours is 3" split into quads at the rear. No wonder it's louder than mine rofl I guess once I get the middle muffler removed (straight through replacement), it will be a s**t load louder. But that's waiting until cams, so it rumbles away like a demon. Would scare a lot of commodore phaggots.

Updated the first page to include new parts I'm going to purchase, up to date prices and most importantly, links to relevant sites! For anyone interested in looking up the stuff for their car and is looking for somewhere to start ;)
If anyone knows of something better/ cheaper than what I have link please tell me.

That's for a 9" diff those gears. Josh and I did some research and found out that you might be able to use VT-VZ Holden SS gears (they run an M80 diff also). The beauty of that, is that the gears are in abundance so you can get them for as little as $100 if you snatch up a good deal. I'm not sure though if they're 28 or 30 spline, something you'll have to ask before purchasing.

From what I've seen so far from a few sites that sell them the same gears can be used in ford or holden because they both use the M80 diff.

Yeah, that's what Josh and I figured. It's a cheaper solution than hunting for Ford M80 specific.

Yes it is...

Series III (VT series II - VZ) SS Commodores run a M80 diff. Be very handy if you know someone wrecking an SS. I've seen a few go for 300ish... Just haven't been quick enough to get it for myself.

Also because the commodore utes are irs, I believe ute and sedan run identical diffs.

There are nothing but said Skylines where I live. Or they're only running 14pounds because I haven't yet been beat off the traffic light drag strip by one :P

As for gears, yeah maybe that's why it's so easy to find them new for about 400 then?
I'm extremely thankful that I took the time to search properly.
Local workshop quoting me almost $1000 JUST for the gears
I'd rather take the whole weekend doing it myself and save the extra $2500 he told me it would cost to get the rest of the crap needed and installed by them!!
