That's what I'm hoping... With any luck Barry will be there to do the tune. He was there just over a week ago iirc, so should be back towards the end of this week coming... maybe? If not, I'll just get them to have it tuned to be able to get around with, then be able to bring it in the day Terry is back to tune it properly.

Putting it all together isn't beyond the guys who are there now and BPT guarantees their workmanship. So if anything goes pear-shaped I'll be able to take it back and have it rectified.

Replying from a post in another thread.

I think the 70mm t/b will be fine mate. Put it like this, the AU 220's run a 70mm as std with very good low end torque. So i doubt it will rob anything out of your combo, it'll also be tuned to suit aswell.

I have just fitted a 70mm t/b too.

When will you be getting it on the dyno for another tune?

Have you had it on the road? If so, is there a noticable change as is?

When Terry gets back for starters lol. Then whenever he can get me in, so who knows.

Nah havent driven it yet, gonna be doing all the lifter pre-loads that i've been having dramas with tomorrow, then if all goes well will be driving tomorrow arvo or Sunday. Wont be driving a hell of alot though untill it gets re-tuned.

good things come to thoes who wait, espeshialy when you are talking about your car. i to am waiting on your results to compare results with xh5lwepn's project so i can decide what combo of parts to use when i head down this path in 12 months or so but atm im leaning towards the afr heads just incase i feel the need for a blower later on down the track.

Out of interest, why would you go the AFRs over Twisted Wedge if you're going forced induction? I only ask because I'm interested to hear why, not because I think one is better than the other. I plan on supercharging down the track. I just thought I'd need to gut them out to decrease the compression.

But yeah, am interested to hear why one would be better for forced induction than the other.

sorry i cant give you a good technical answer here, im still learning about this sort of stuff mate. somthing to do with turbulance created by the twisted wedge head that would hold them back a bit in a charged application. im not saying the trickflow combo is no good for a s/c or anything like that, just from what i can gather the afr's will come out a bit in front when going down the s/c path but be prety well on par with each other in an n/a setup. after deciding to go afr's ive now found that i can get the same trickflow kit as you have for just over $2000 aus landed in australia and i cant seem to get a set of afr's and a intake manifold anywere near that price, pitty i spent $2500 on my exhaust last week.

You'll actually find the TFS head is more suitable to a forced induction application compared to a 165 AFR, due to its larger intake valve, and larger cross sectional area of the port... ;)

They will both be good in a forced setup. But your trick flows will be much cheaper. You're getting the whole kit anyway, it's as cheap as it gets!

If it's available at that price, I don't think my motor will be all that different. Every man and his dog will have one. Ah well, good luck to ya if you can get it at that price. At least performance is getting cheaper... for some!
