a lot of people on some u.s. mustang forums ive been sifting through seem to think the 165 afr's will flow better even with the slightly smaller 1.900 intake valve compared to the tfs with the 2.020 intake valve, both heads having 1.600 exhaust valves due to the superior desighn of the afr's intake and exhaust ports but like i said im still learning about all this stuff and thats just what i came across while sifting through some u.s. forums.

dont stress scaffy, that price is landed here in aus but i get free freight and no importing costs as a good mate of mine has a good mate that imports cars from all over the place and he can put it in one of his shipping crates he sends back australia. the only thing is there is no expected return time, just have to wait until he buys enough cars to fill a container, could be 3 months, could be 8 months and i think the ausie dollar is doing alot better now than a few months back.

Cool. Well, if I were you I'd get me 10 of them and re-sell them over here!

I went up and had a look to see how they were coming along yesterday. Terry was back in and he'd spent a bit of time on it yesterday. They had a bit of machining being done last week which was holding it up but they have it done now and she's slowly going back together. I forgot to bring a camera up with me but took a pic with my phone.

Sorry about the crappiness. I hope it comes out the right way!

I was there yesterday and they were flat strap indeed.

Good to see some progress on it. How long till you get it back and break her in?

They must be booked out for ages too, I can't get my blower installed and tuned till jan 10!!

60 sleeps to go...

Yeah, Jack was telling me they were booked out til mid January.

How long til I get it back? Hmmmm... I'm really hoping by next weekend or I'm going to be mightily disappointed and up s**t creek without a car!

They've just got to throw the oil filler in the other rocker cover, put the upper intake on with spacer, hook up all the s**t on the front and the tb and the ignition crapola, throw in my clutch and flywheel, and hopefully my shifter then chuck my EEC back in with a switch chip and throw her on the dyno and tune her up... then I can drive it out of there a satisfied customer. I hope!

Just a quick update.

Still no car! Ah well, when ever it's ready it's ready I guess. Upper manifold needed a bit of machining - something to do with throttle cable.

Also waiting on shifter which should be Monday or Tuesday, so knowing my luck, they will have finished the same day I get the shifter. I haven't spoken to them since Wednesday, so I dunno whether they have progressed anymore.

I know they've been trying to get SPEC EL out. It's been causing them drama after drama. So hopefully they've ironed all the problems out I can have mine soon!

When I was there they had SPEC EL on the dyno with a turbo that would have suited a cummins motor, It was that big.

Pulled a massive 88 rwkw, as they couldn't get the thing on boost!

Patience Grasshopper, it'll be worth the wait!

I just moved house last week and have no net!

Still no car... Waiting on flywheel which will be here today I hope. It was meant to have been sent over with the clutch over 3 weeks ago and when they opened the box the other day there was only the clutch. Only waiting on flywheel then they can chuck it all together and tune it up. It could be ready this weekend or it could be ready next weekend.

I'll just have to leave it up to the car gods. When they're ready I'll have it.

That sucks man, you'd think they would open the box as soon as it arrives and check everything, common sense.

I bet this is gonna be one expensive excercise

Cant wait till its on the road man, its gonna be all worth while

I won't comment on the flywheel drama... I'd expect a shop to have an invoice for the goods that were ordered and that they'd check it off to ensure everything was right.

Hope it all comes together for you mate!

Its what happens when there is too much work to do and the pressure is on. Im getting my 347 built by BPT at the moment and when they sent my block off to get machined Terry somehow forgot to send my heads off to the porting shop... only discovered that yesterday when I asked. Whoops!

Been waiting 6 months for my engine to come together and its on the list of jobs they MUST get done before christmas lol. Patience pays off in this game. There will likely be something unforeseen occur to delay the proceedings. :)

I went and had a look at it today.

It's all together now! Dyno tune Monday. Hopefully there are no more dramas and I'll be able to pick her up after work.

When I get it I'll take some pics and share some results.

Until then....
