Got my car back this arvo. I was pretty surprised with the result. Not a good surprised tho :(

188rwkw which equates to 250rwhp. Torque in the bottom end seems to be lacking and, to me, it just doesn't feel right. I'll take it down the track on Wednesday and see how it does there before I decide whether I'm happy or not.

I don't wanna harp on about it too much just yet as I only just got it back and have a few little things to iron out. I expected to get more that 31rwkw extra out of that package tho from all the stock items.

I was that shell-shocked today that I even forgot to get the printouts from the dyno run. Didn't even bother to see what the torque figure was. Will have to get it all later in the week.

250rwhp would be somewhere in the order of 335fwhp wouldnt it? thats not too bad the kit is rated for 350?

im sorry to hear your not happy with it maybe a few adjustments and the power will come up a little?

id be interested to see the dyno sheets if you felt like posting them up when you get them? good luck with it mate..

mitch

Have a look at going back to a 65mm TB, Just a suggestion, it seemed to do the trick for me, I just dont have the cubes to support the airflow of my heads and cam down low. ANd as we all know, we dont drive the things at 3500rpm all day every day.

As far as ignition goes, i'm using the std Dizzy with an MSD direct replacement cap, MSD blaster coil, Top-gun 8mm LPG leads(will probly upgrade to some nice MSD leads shortly), NGK plugs gapped to 1.1mm, BPT TFI module, and a new rotor button for added insurance. Something along the lines of this will be fine mate, just make sure everything is new like the rotor button, cap, leads and plugs and you shouldnt have an issue.[/quote]

hi guys was reading thru the thread and noticed the comments about msd cap etc, where would i pick one up from as my 347 is nearly run in but breaks down around 4500-5000rpm,i'm running a standard dizzy aswell,i thought the coil might be the prob so i bought a accel super coil #140008 but it didn't solve the issue, any ideas??

Agree with Terror.. 65mm would increase air velocity and help your bottom end. I'm not sure if you said you had a tune? If not, remember most of the guys running these packages in the states have EEC tuners.. You've got a lot to play with yet!

With abit more tuning and dyno time that figure should grow.

As for swaping the TB i cant see much point going back to 65 when the manifold has a 75mm throttle body inlet. I've done the exact same thing in another thread to no avail.

Anyway good luck Scaffy getting you car to how you want it.

Maybe it flows too well for the capacity, You may either need more cubes or even forced induction to make use of it. (hint hint  )

Anyways I'd be getting a dyno read out just to see the curve and AFR's as well. What sort of cam are you running as well?

The guys at BPT are pretty good, but they can be forgetful a few times and are under the pump.

I'll see you at the Plex. :)

We'll have to hold off for official results til Thursday. There were a couple of f**k ups which shouldn't have been made, but were, and they've been sorted this evening by Terry and Barry. It was sucking a f**k-load of air!

I'll be taking her in to be retuned on Thursday morning, so hopefully I'll be a bit happier.

One Drone - Yeah mate, I have the twEECer fitted and it was tuned with that yesterday.

That sucks man. I think a few of us know what the problem would be there  .

I really hope this all gets sorted out for you man, at someone elses expense, i have no doubt it will be putting out some nice figures once all is well.

Let me know mate if theres anything i can do.

Cheers, we'll see what happens tomorrow. I'll take the video camera tomorrow if I remember and try to get it all posted up when it's done.

The package certainly has a lot more potential than its currently showing, I hope it all works out successfully for you.

I'd have thought that it had more in it but after going on the dyno today, 189rwkw is it apparently. I have no idea what the go is. I'd have expected it to produce more than the 37rwkw above the HO, e7s and stock cam that it has.

Torque isn't coming on song til 3500rpm then dies off not too long after that. I'll post up the charts shortly.
