Hehe Indeed^^^.

I still have to line up Chad as well as we were gonna have run against each other until the heavens opened up.

You now have a unfair advantage, I'll level it up in Jan.

Mine is also a slug under 3500rpm, but in my case is more as a result of big cam than anything else. I still think to improve bottom end change back to a 65TB. It made a world of difference to mine, but i gave up a few KW right at the top end.

I think I'll give the TB a crack later on. Don't have the funds atm. I may be able to get my hands on a set of tri-ys at some stage and if I can I'll be throwing them on to see how it goes.

I wouldnt bother wasting time and money changing headers. The di-fillipo's will be fine mate, they will NOT be causing any dramas with the power figure your getting.

First thing i'd do is get the cats looked at. Make sure YOU have a look at them also, and if they are faulty get the people responsible for for what happened to them to pay for new ones.

The 65mm will give you that bit of down low back. Although i have changed mine to a 70mm unit and havent noticed much difference down low. If you are keen on the 65mm let me know as i have one here.

Yeah, I doubt I will be around to be able to look at the cats myself. I'm going to have to drop the car off on Wed night then pick it up whenever they have it sorted as I can't afford to be taking any more time off work cos of this bloody car, especially this time of year. It's not only cost me what I've had to pay for everything but the day off here and there begins to add up as well.

I would like to be able to have a look at them myself though. I may have to pop them off one day and have a gander.

I'll see what happens on Thursday anyway before I make any decisions on anything else.

Just picked up my car and about to head out to dinner.

But very quickly...

They sorted the leaking headers. The wrong gaskets were the wrong ones being supplied, 3 or 4 times!

Terry put it back on the dyno and advanced the timing to 36 degrees like I asked. He then fiddled around a bit more with the tune and got 275.7rwhp@5500rpm. Torque peaks at about 360FtLb@4000rpm. It drives so much better and feels heaps better. Have to roll now, will post up charts a bit later. :)

Awesome stuff mate. Really pleased to see its all sorted. Might have to pop down next wednesday as a spectator to see this beast run.

Funny that the timing was the problem  , you'd think Terry would know where to set it.......................

Still abit scepticle about that torque figure though, seems a tad high.

Well mate, make the dinner a quick one and get in the beast and enjoy driving it, good to see it going hard, you might have to come take me for a quick blat in it  .

schnoods - I will be there Wednesday with bells on. Just need to try and get some new rubber on the rears before then. Now that I have announced my intention on going this week, there's a good chance it'll rain! haha

XH5LWPN - The reason I chose this kit was because of the figures it was supposed to make. 350fwhp and 370fwft/lb. The torque curve still isn't as flat as I'd like it to be. A little bit down under 3750. Terry reckons it's the grind. It feels heaps better than before though. I'm happy :) We'll have to catch up some time as I want to see how your shifter feels. I'm not sure if mine's adjusted right or not...

ozrunner - uh-huh!
