360ft/lb sounds a little high but horsepower figures are a lot better. The main thing is you are satisfied with the result and all the heartache you've been put through!

Now get out and enjoy it. :)

New tyres going on the rears today, all ready for Wed. I think I've copped another dose of the flu today, so hopefully it doesn't hang around too long. I think my only hindrance now will be the 3.23s in the tail...

Thanks for all the help and info along the way from everyone. If I didn't have you guys I'd still be driving it stock with less idea than I have now! :)

Haha no worries mate, certainly glad it all got sorted for ya mate, just hope you learnt from your mistakes.

What tyres did you go for on the rear? I hope there some decent ones, the novelty of cheap tyres wears thin after a while

Yep a set of, at least, 3.45's in the diff will go very nicely.

I had some Khumos fitted to the front a few months back, so I went with the same on the rears. Not cheap and nasty, yet not overly expensive.

Just heard from Scaffy and he's at the 'Plex waiting for them to start the racing. So everyone wish him luck and hopefully he can bring home some 13sec timeslips :D

Scaffy had a few traction and launching issues That i saw from the sideline. One minute it was bogging down then spinning the tyres.

I left earlyish and his best time was 14.7 but with a poor launch.

14.7....... that was it! I had a currrent of a night. I need to spend a bit of time at launch school I think! I couldn't find a good balance until the end of the night. On my second last run I got my best 60' of 2.35 (which is still s**t! I got 2.18 at the beginning of the year) but then went and missed 3rd completely. I managed a 14.7 in that run also, at 154km/h. I think the lack of torque down low may play a role as well.

On top of my retarded launching ability, I've still got a problem with it cutting out just before 5000rpm for a split second, then it pulls again, does the same at about 5200 then goes, then again just under 5500... It was annoying the piss outta me!

One thing I want to do as well is change my diff ratio. 3.23s just don't cut it.

All in all, quite a disappointing night for me. Only .2 of a second better than before! Bloody hell...

Don't worry mate, I've got the slowest EL XR8 in Perth with a 15.8. It doesn't help the car with me driving either. I can't launch for s**t. I'm hoping the new heads I'm getting will disguise my poor driving abilities.

I just realised I hadn't posted up my new dyno yet. Here it is. I'm beginning to wonder if it's for real or not! Ha!

No. You don't talk anyone down, do you.

Feel free to come over to Perth and give yours a run. I'm sure XH5L & myself will be more than willing to show you what the tail end of our cars look like down the track. Hell, I'm sure Scaffy would too once he gets the car sorted out.

Forget that tool bag Scaffy. You should be able to get that 2.3 sec 60' down to a low 2.2 (my best) or high 2.1 with a bit of practice.

Those flat spots definitely sound like they are costing you if that dyno is right. You should be getting a low 14 at least, if not a high 13 with those figures. What were the temps like on the night?

Have you replaced the fuel pump Scaffy?

If would be good if you had a way to check your fuel pressure under full load.

What do you expect me to say? Scaffy knows what I'm on about. Anyway are you running a phenlonic spacer by any chance? Try a 1 inch spacer really does bring the torque back into the motor.
