that is a really nice looking NL, well done on the mods you have done to it!

Also, I have the same Narva headlight bulbs as you, how to you find them at night?? I know I do new headlamps (they had gone yellow and i've sanded them back) but even with highbeam they are still a let down ...

Laticia.

well done with the grill... looks great... what kind of $$ did the exhaust work set you back?

thanks guys !

the grille took quite a few goes haha.. want to try and replace the ghia bonnet emblem aswell, (to something from the recent BF fairlanes) not sure if i should go through with it though. for exhaust - paid bit more than four hundred, but the twin tip was quite pricey as its custom. very happy with the system, sounds superb.

thanks! really like what youve done to your fairlane too. the bulbs are not that great... i think because theyre 55w and 5000K. theyre shocking when compared to the yellower 4000k ones. i think thats as good as theyre going to get with that rating. i still like them.. everything lights up blue haha.

have any of u replaced the dash bulbs with led's on a fairlane? i was wondering how many bulbs im going to need as i also have to do the climate control etc. also, i want to try fit a double din head unit but ive only got the slot for the single, and there is a metal plate that is in the way. has anyone done it?

It is really easy to fit a double din in. I finished installing my one yesterday. There are pics in my thread.

Just remove the ashtray/stereo surround, and you will see all the room there is. Then either buy a factory double din surround, or break out your dremel and cut out the opening in the single din one.

Cheers
BenJ

Always good to see another Fairlane out there, i was after a 5lt Concorde myself (sorry V8 freak!) but ended up with a 5lt NF ghia (see avatar) very happy - they are awsome cars and no-one expects anything from them so when you do some work you'll surprise a few people well done!

Hi everyone, have done a few more mods since the last post :D

STAGE 6: INTERIOR LIGHTING
STAGE 7: STEREO
STAGE 8: EXTRACTORS + CAT + FILTER
STAGE 9: BRAKES

6. haven't got interior photos but all the lights inside have been changed to white LED's. looks nice with the gray leather.
7. thanks to help from some of you, i managed to install a double din unit where the original single din was. needed a new 2din faceplate of course.
8. the note sounds different again, and i can definitely feel the additional power. the pacemakers are simply amazing. i decided to get a hi flow cat as well, and im happy with the exhaust system now. also decided to get a K&N panel, in my opinion replacing the filter was must. chose to go back to Gold Coast custom exhausts for the cat and extractors - best quotes, and they seem to know their stuff.
9. redid the pads all round and got a set of DBA slotted rotors for the front. stops much better, i underestimated how much of a difference they would make.

im thinking of getting a chip, need a bit of help, any ideas on the best option for my setup? ive looked at capa, chiptorque and the TI chip etc but cant decide. im also looking for a place that can do the cam on the Gold Coast, anyone got any recommendations/experience?

thanks guys.
yea thinking about taking those off :P
had a single din unit, got a double din fascia online and did the head unit myself. plenty of space for a double din unit back there. thinking of redwalling the tyres, but unsure, may be too much with those rims.

is it possible to have the weathershields tinted?... that way you would hardly notice them
