This plastic gaurd needs to go on. scored it from a wreckers that had the exact same ute in the same colour. cost me $40

And scored these splits and tweets from my older bro

And my old boy wanted to get rid of this little beast but i said no. ill be driving this while the ute's getting stripped and gutted and i work out what to do with the cabin. i might also give the interior a make over. All the beast needs is a new clutch which my old man will pay for and ill never have trouble parking in this town ever again :D
Only problem is other P platers see my P's up and try catch up and hope I'm a hot girl driving. They're very disappointed when they see me wink at them haha

Thanks dylby :D

I like to think that they were made for XH's and that AU's are outdated haha. trying to get my hands on one of those leather console lids so I can do some re-trimming when the interior gets the make over. i found a hidden wreckers in Melton with lots of AU's and 2 XH's :D

Not quiet as classy as your Lane but im pretty happy with the condition the previous owner kept it in :) just don't want to use it as a work ute any more. I get so sad seeing it dirty

I'd love a clean XH manual actually. :D

With the interior, if you replace the beige/tan bits on the doortrims with black/grey, I think that interior will be spot on.

Nice to see people do something nice instead of painting it all white.

Looks like you are keeping it well mate, looks too clean to put to work.

haha that tan coloured bit was just me practising my trimming skills. i will be keeping it black/grey I dont want to go too far with too much white.

I'm currently getting my other car going so I can start some major work on the XH, plus the Hyundai is like $40 to fill hahaha

They do but it's a shame they don't have room for a set of power window switches.

Nice work with the XH, A-Bone, looks mighty clean

Will be interesting to see how the BA styled wheel fits in with the interior. I'm considering the swap as well, the e-series steering wheels in general (bar the EL GT style) are very.. bland to say the least

Your right its a shame there isn't a factory spot. But I think robbo put the BA switches in his XH in a good spot. Have you seen his garage thread?
You're right Ash, but I think the only cleanest and best way is to do door switches in this case.

Thanks for the praise guys! :D
I am very happy with how well its been maintained and im glad the first problems I've fixed have been one's that every XH owner should know about such as pedal box reinforcement with heavy duty clutches and strengthening the door hinges and such.

Snap- The Electric windows mod is definitely one a would love to do (I'll put it on the list) I've seen the doco on it but I cant seem to view the pictures which is a shame

Ash - Is robbo the guy that put them down the side before he scored the AU ute?

I really do want to make sure that with everything I do and put into the XH still maintains a "factory" look 8-)

Nath - That's something I was thinking about when I pick and choose what goes into the Ute, I want to make sure everything suits well and isn't "over the top". So I think that the interior will be a black and Grey/ Dark grey leather theme.
Thanks ZZZ.40L
And your right SLO, i was quoted from ford something like $500-$600 for the front part of the BA wheel so im really happy with the quote I got from Ferntree Gulley Auto Salvage :D :D

Just hoping they can get some more starter switches soon. I'd love that unique feel about it 8-)
