well, the rust repairs still havent started yet.... need to get at least one of the 2 s**t out the front of my house running reliably before i can take the wagon off the road.

while the wagons off the road, im thinking about putting an exhaust on it, but i doubt there would be any off the shelf exhausts available for a V8 Wagon. im guessing i would have to get a custom one made up?

Redback do one for a wagon and they have 3 different rear options: resonator, hotdog or straight through. Each system comes with Y pipe and megaflow muffler.

i was just about to say there is a few stores on ebay that sell them for V8 off the shelf, im trying to get one for my wagon, but if i get one without a rear resinator they delete all but 1 hanger so id have to still get them fitted

If you go to your local Exhaust place, they should be able to order in the exhaust in the configuration you ask for.

When I was looking for a Redback system on my wagon, Ebay only had them like Huggie said, with no hangers on the tail pipe, and with no resonator.

My Exhaust guy could order it in for roughly the same price with a resonator and the hangers, through in new rubbers and a gasket, and let me take it home to fit myself.

Cheers
BenJ

GAH, now i got another problem,.....

tried to solve the overheating issue yesty, got home from work and took the thermostat housing off (car had plenty of coolant) and the housing was BONE DRY, on both sides of the thermostat

and i always thought it was getting hot from the thermostat being inoperable... put it in a glass of boiling water, that soon changed that theory  the thermostat was fine....

so, is there a possibility my radiator is blocked? or another radiator/coolant hose?

id be looking in the motor... or check the bottom hose, as the water exits at the top so that tells me the blockage is either in the motor or before the water pump.. id pull the bottom hose off and run a hose through the thermostat housing and see if it comes out the bottom

started on the rust....

engine bay i got lucky, as it was all surface rust, with one tiny hole the size of my little fingernail, so thats all done once i rub it back and paint it again cos the clear reacted badly

almost got my roof racks off, all except for one screw which has jammed in the nutsert and its spinning in the roof :x

the roof wasnt as bad as i thought, i was expecting s**t of it underneath, but there wasnt a whole lot more than what i saw on the outside which is good.... although i need a whole new set of screws and nutserts as theyre all rusted.....

thats as far as ive gotten so far, after the roof is done, then its the horror section on the LHF door hinge pillar, which im a little concerned about.

but not as concerned as i am with the sill panels, which im told are completely gone, which means id basically have to replace the whole sill, on BOTH sides :(

so i still have s**t tons of work ahead of me, but at least its started!!

i also received my muffler from TUF250 on monday, so I can finally have a decent exhaust for it too!

i will post progress pics as soon as i have access to a half decent camera.

got my roof racks off finally, ended up getting the stuck nutsert out with my large trim tool, which in turn left a nice dent in my roof  the reason being that it was spinning, was because there was a decent amount of rust around that nutsert and only that one, the rest were random patches around the racks. so i kind of got lucky there.

only thing is, i will need to find some new nutserts and screws now...

ive got another question for the gurus.... does anyone have an idea of how many of these wagons were made? im guessing not a whole lot...
