What sort of tranny is in it? Is it AWD or just FWD?

As far as i knew the Rav4 V6's have the same engine as the Aurion. Soooo does that mean if you were to somehow come across a wrecked TRD Aurion.... ....the mind boggles haha!

its a 5 speed auto, cant be optioned with a manual in australia, although France can get them apparently.

its FWD/part time AWD, as soon as threres the tiniest hint of wheelspin it switches to AWD, theres also a AWD Lock button on the dash.

Yeah they have the same engine as the Aurion, i doubt id find a wrecked TRD Aurion somewhere though :P

apparently TRD Australia were working on a 235kW TRD RAV4, but the project got scrapped when TRD Aus went under. 200kW is enough power for this chassis anyway

I've always wanted to have a fang around in a new toyota with the 200 Killerwasp V6! It must scream when you put the boot into it!

It's a shame TRD Australia is being shut down, i reckon the TRD Aurion has to be one of the toughest looking cars on the streets, but as we all know FWD just doesn't cut it. But what if Toyota implemented the same (constant) AWD system from the Rav4 and shoehorned it all into the Aurion? Now that would be performance!

hmm not sure if it'd fit, bit would be a ripper if it did.

yeah it goes like a bullet when the boot sinks down, although its a fairly torqueless motor, power only really comes on after about 3000rpm. but it is pretty short geared, only gets about 60 out of first.
