Thats pretty low... mine is about the same and I've put some pretty decent nicks and dents into my brand new 3 inch magnaflow cat because of it... (our driveway has a dip before the footpath)

I can't see any way to make the exhaust sit higher either as my cat is just under the floorpan as it is.

Alrighty, the time has finally come, GHIA40 is getting a 5-speed!!! :D

I have most of the bits sitting on my garage floor. 80,000km old T5, clutch, 6-bolt flywheel, clutch pedal (I will modify it the Froudey way to fit into the auto box till i can source a manual pedalbox). all i need to get pretty much is a spigot bearing and a clutch cable.

Now i just need the cash to carry out the operation. i just rego'd my car so funds are low, so it might not be done for a couple of weeks, but im so f'n excited that its finally happening :D

pics will come tomorrow, theyre all on my mates phone.

Ahh, home mechanics is one of those things you just have to love.

Nice pickup on the Van and T5 convo.

LOL

You need a unit joint, and lots of extentions. Drop the back of the box, and pull down on it.

Have FUN!!!!

All Done :D

4.45am. over 19 hours since we started, test drive has been completed, car back in the garage, ramps stored away, and im f**k tired but very happy with the end result :D

the clutch slips a bit but that needs to be adjusted a tad i think.

one small reminder to those who think they can do it on ramps:

Dont Even Think About It

it was a mammoth effort to get it all done on ramps in a 1 bay garage

anyway im going to bed. im f**k, and i still have to clean up the garage :?
