I think you can figure out the differences.

EA1, is possibly the same as EB1, however EB2 is definetly different, and driven differently by the AC Controller. I cant speak for the AU - however its likely there were other differences.

They look the same because its a fantastic casting for a heatsink with electronics, but they work differently on the inside

The CC units have different coloured facia, IIRC - pre EBII is silver, post is black ?

The pre EF fan speed controllers have the transistor inside the unit, with that extra connector on the side of the case. The EF ones and later have a relay inside the case for full speed, so put the AU one aside, don't use it.

From EB2 I think the polarity was inverted, and it looks like the AU went to a Monolithic construction of some kind likely for reliability and so it was sealed.

The EB2 onwards wont be too different

have been working [sorta] on the BF/EB. BF has had all seats removed as well as door trims, carpet & parts of the dash. will be using the BA door trims etc from the BA parts car. EB has had same done, and will be using EF/NF door trims & seats with EL rear cargo are items.
