just a query on the Fairmont door locks. has anyone had to replace the 'globe' used in them?

Image

one shown is from a EA series2 with a later model lock for comparisons.

also does anyone have seats/material matching the pic below ?

The light is an LED I think - pretty much integral. All I think all you can do is drill out the old, glue/solder a new one in.

The LED is glued in the plastic, and the light diffuses through the plastic ring. So drill it out carefully, fit another one in - job done.

Would've been better to zoom out and widescreen.
Can't make out much with the 'cinemascope' narrow view.
Which car - CC or std A/C?
Funny looking hand :|

Looks like its missing a few things: ford-technical-document-adding-climate-control-d8

You can see already the vaccy solenoid block is gone, fan speed controller not there, fan not connected, evaporator temp sensor not connected.
Not hard to sort out if you have the bits.

Obviously there's been a problem in that area. Be wise to pull the heaterbox and open it up to check it out.
Tip for the blend door - the actuator overdrives the flap - it will break over time (years)elongate the arm holes so it just closes at full travel. It'll save you some grief.

Test it yourself using 12v on the pins - doco has the pinouts. Dark Green/Red & Dark Green/Blue

the vacuum block is there on the left snap!, fan speed yep is gone. question - is the fan controller from the EA to the AU series 1 the same?. fans not connected due to fan controller, not sure which one is the temp sensor. will put some pics up soon of the EA Fairmont setup & an EB setup plus pics of the fan speed controller form the EA, EB & AU1.

Cheers

All I can see is the connector, and the vaccy lines look like they're shoved out of the way. You've got the luxury of physically looking at it, and not through a pic with light reflection, etc.
