Well after reading and re-reading KWIKXR's build thread and looking at all his tasty mods i decided to polish the front grill pretty happy with it and it was fairly easy end results speak for themself

Thanks for the ideas KWIKXR

Nice work dude, grill turned out mint! No worries regarding the idea, I stole it from FordFairmont :P

Did you seal the polished surface at all? It's just when I polished mine up way back then, I didn't seal it and once a bit of dust got on it combined with sitting in the sun, the polished finish turned to s**t :x.

I tried to seal it after re-polishing with some acrylic clearcoat spray paint but it dulled the finish completely, so I ended up sending it off for chrome plating and it turned out awesome. 'FordFairmont' on these forums seemed to get good results by clearcoating the finish with his polished grill, but I'm unsure of what specific paint he used.

sounds like a good idea. i was wondering that sitting in the sun might damage it.

I will look into it.

Also what cam are you running in yours im looking at getting one after a exhaust but not sure what one yet

Good stuff

At the moment, I'm running a very mild cam from Franklin Cam's over here in NZ. Can't remember spec's off hand, but it's nothing special. I'm upgrading to something a bit more aggressive in a couple of days which has been done by Auckland Cams, again in NZ.

Cam selection will all come down to what sort of gains you are chasing and what setup it will be used with. I'd suggest getting in touch with Wade Cams and having a chat to them. Their regrind cam's seem to be best bang for buck from what I've read on multiple forums.
