I read somewhere that Mal wood uses Transmax z in all there T5 gearbox's,alternative would be 70/80 light gear oil..with an additive like lubrizol,I think there's also some synthetic gear oils which may be something to look into aswell

What clutch are you going with? with the barra will be either fitting the EB T5 just to get it up & running ..... or buy the correct setups i've seen on upay T5 [or is it T56? ] .... which come with all items needed [i believe? .. well except the sedan tailshaft ], with the clutch being a standard piece?. why not make up a bracket for the later hydraulic pedal [pedal & hydraulics only] & mount that to the X-series brackets .... maybe use a auto pedal box & mod that?. will be modding the BA/BF setup to fit in the EB wagooon .... which is waiting for a wash & wiring strip currently hunting around for a very cheap BA/BF tailshaft |

Yea T56 is the tremec BA/BF 6-speed,will see how it goes when I start prepping for paint as the engine and box are coming out to paint engine bay (may weld unused holes and smooth aswell ) have finally got some decent XR6 headlights too,if I'm lucky I may be able to get hold of BA-BF peddle box to adapt the clutch with -we shall seeee
p.s Im going Xtreme clutch for the T5 -but if I go T56 its a bloody expensive clutch for the T56 Edit Tremec T56 is the 6-speed-sorry for for the miss info

BF has had original seats/carpet/console removed, with original front seats swapped for some NF seats. currently has the parts from the BA sedan parts car waiting to go in. just need to remove electric window wiring looms....... from the BA Ps. aka white/yellow/blue peril is refering to the colour it is now/colour it was as a taxi, and the original colour from the factory. |

Mad2 wrote: wellllll.......... nothin much happening with the ol' yella nor it's replacement... so i bought a replacement ..... replacement it's a 03 BA wagooon duel fuel sooo . . . . not long after getting the BA home, i stripped out all seats & console. vaxxed the carpet about 6 times, did the seats 2 or so times. cleaned the dash with a supacheeap product ...... easily 6 times to get rid of a 'whiteish' mark. looks AND smells a lot betterer now. have changed inlet section from filter box to TB with a unit from a Terry. currently have the ICC unit out whilst i work on fitting floorwell lamps & a console light, wiring is ready to go in for that. hacked out the dash loom section that goes from passenger side 'A' pillar to drivers side 'A' pillar from an 04 Fairmont. just working out what wiring is needed from that for the wagoon so everything for the clock works. have the Fairmont wiring BEM to clock, which i'm kinda thinking will work without any serious trouble.......... was going to fit/mount an NF interior light [which i actually did - works well too with the leds fitted] however i'm now currently thinking of going with the FG interior light for the more 'modern' look. will be fitting the AU roof sunglasses holder coz i have two & only one BF unit [hers]. car drives well. ran well on the drive back from lilydale, with only one hiccup . only problem i noticed was to do with the LPG side. when i picked up the BA & started driving home i noticed the lpg tank was empty, so i threw some in for the rive home [coz i love lpg], as soon as i let go of the pump handle i had a fuel leak! .. this will be fixed when it goes in to have the tank tested. the wheels from the BF will be fitted & the rear badge work has been removed. due to the tailgate window tinting 'bubbling' it will need to be removed which is no biggy. car did have it's build sheet when i checked under rear seat, however a mouse had beat me to it some parts will come off the BF parts wagooon as well as the BA sedan. [ie one rear exterior door handle from sedan. passengers mirror cover & as mentioned wheels from BF.] eventually i would love to put the BF fuel tank in [lpg only] with a small petrol tank similar to - https://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11331318 [awesome car that one!] however i won't be going as far as he did!. Cheers |

so . . . . 4 years and counting
i now have this....... duel fuel. elec windows front/back, standard aircon. a 2003 BA wagooon did look like this when picked up. floor carpet was vaxxed at least 6 times, seats twice, dash cleaned at least 6 times to get rid of some whitish marks [as seen in pics], air vent was pulled on passenger side to clean front better ....... then i saw the back dash outlet then i gots carried away . . . . now looks like this......... ICC was removed so i could get in behind it. console now has a rear light & will also shortly have footwell lights. plus fit the Fairmont loom so i can fit the factory clock. have some wiring to add to the ICC plug so clock works as should [thanks to magna] have wired in an aftermarket bluetooth for the phone. and today i recieved a small gift from ebay..... will be fitted as soon as possible plus find a suitable trailer plug. standard interior light was replaced with an NF interior light similar to pic. however when i was at a local wreckers i saw an FG interior light ..... so out with the NF & in with the FG all interior lights have been replaced with led's. the ones fitted to the passenger rears had to be altered to work with the positive earthing in the actual lights. all work very well. will also be fitted with the AU sunglasses holder [as i have a pair of em] from the AU. as mentioned [somewhere??] i have fitted a Territory air intake plus flexi hose. hopefully will update front brakes to the larger. also hope to later fit the AU diff as it's a 3.45. plus use the BF's [parts car] wheels. Cheers
