finally finished comparing the BA Fairylane front left loom with/to the BA Futura sedan loom. ALL looks good as every wire colour/position matched the other. will get around to finishing the BA Fairylane right loom with the extra wiring & the removal of the original 'turning' lights with the replacements being a BA XR6 fog lights loom section. doing the 'easy' parts 1st will 'hopefully' give me the motorvation to tackle the harder rear looms . will be using the BF wagooon parts car as the test bed for the finished looms.
missed out on a set of piano black console pieces so will have to keep looking. cheers |

ok.
bought a shiit load of errr 'stuff' . . . . bought a BF Fairymont Ghia seat set . . . . gave her the rears & then had her 'claim' the fronts to which i said ok but not the seat frames - as they are 8 ways . bought another set of just fronts ..... again 8 way. then i bought another set . . . yep 8 way, but included the rears . so 'we' decided to upgrade the door trims..... to 'leather'. went and had a look at some not far from me. asked for pics of damage.... got one pic of drivers front showing not much more damage than the join just below the snib button had come loose. arrived & nah ..... walked away due to drivers having more damage than i was told. trolled fB . . . . found when picked up ...... condition was as stated . . which was good!. trolled fB again found this- when picked up .. again condition was as stated, but! .. he mentioned the fronts . . . . so he went to look. came back with both fronts but had a bit of weathering due to being stored out in the open.. doors fronts 1st clean of trims 2nd clean.... was floored with how clean they came up, with the rears suitable for use as is [door spears will change to the Fairymont Ghia silver] & she was impressed as well . the 3 that were picked up previously will give us the fronts. the top sections won't be used as they are too damaged, & will use other door trims for parts to repair them. these fronts would/should have been used but due to me umming & aahhing ..... i only got the fronts. unless i find some matching rears so i now have two & a half sets of these fronts.....` [all 8 way] plus 'about' 3 sets of passenger electric seats. and two sets of sedan rears. have bought spare seat backs and Ps. also have a 6 way memory setup to go into hers. [no memory mirrors] |

Nice work. yeah ...... small one plus the four door trims gave me these - plus i now now have two of these, one with almost a million K's & the other with just over 260t K's it's a lot closer to that million now it's now like 991200 plus a BF Fairymont Ghia cluster to match the black ICC. coupla sets of these. changed her dash spears to had a small[ish] problem with the tailgate..... so had to replace it. spare seat backs picked up [plus the seats picked up had the same backs] what the 8 way base controls look like. there's also some spare BA/BF dual dash vents for spares [hers was changed from single to twin] plus some chrome lever dash vents for the dash & console.... also found i don't have to use just BA/BF for the console vent. one set of the 6 ways has been pulled apart .... foam looked goood . . . not! have also worked out how to remove seat backs without breaking clips.... |

Have now modified my spare passenger seat ............ to the same spec's as the drivers...... 8-way & memory
have removed all unnecessary wiring & will be doing some more mods to the wiring so i can use the standard seat base trims - 6-way switch & tilt/recline function still functioning. will also need to find some terri memory switches as i only have the two for her Fairymont and still have some seat frames to mod. will also have some 'new' colour screens arriving shortly so i can fix some of the NQR screens and that's about from me ............... till next time |

retested the seat base/looms & found a couple of wires had to be swapped around as they we're just clipped in to check & see if it worked - yesterdy. will be calling into Jaycar tomorrow & grab some 6 strand cabling so i can set up the remote memory switch similar to what Gothefalcon has done to his altho i'm not sure about the positioning of it currently, but will get there ...... eventually
had also ordered some replacement colour screens as i have a 'couple' with screen problems .. which have arrived today and have already fitted a replacement screen to one ............. then tested it ....... WE HAVE SUCCESS so happy that one worked out as now i don't have to worry re screen replacements as we both have colour screen ICC's fitted. when will i do the required BAFLR6 looms tho |

slight change of trajectory... the M7 BA is now a M7 BF did look something like this...... dash looked like currently looks like this now rear looked like this screen has been removed & put away for now. removed thrown away [with some more to follow....] currently a 'small' list of things to do for a RWC. the ICC is being swapped for the unit from the M7BA [which has the colour screen & SZ] as i prefer that unit & the steering column/steering wheel from the M7BA [again this is a betterer addition] cargo now.... and replacement spare wheel holder with replacement carpet .... black, somewhere cheers |
