have fitted a replacement sill cover .. not quite happy with it as missing two plastic lugs, however did fit one sill clip at the rear ....... just need to figure out front attachment

front disc's & pads have been replaced as has missing rh front mudguard.

bought some LTD/Ghia door trims awhile ago & matching chrome door handles have just arrived 8-)

had a small[ish] play with some interior 'stuff'

Image

hope everyone had a great day yesterday

tried doing a bit more on the wagooon ........

found a cupla areas i didn't like

this is the passenger rear wheel well .... at the rear of

Image

at the front of the passenger rear wheel well.... somewhere above the shocker

Image

when i removed the bolt for the spare wheel holder support..... aftermarket - so i could remove & clean the side panel

Image

base

Image

would there be any hassles/problems with mounting the factory mount instead??

Image

was thinking a flat plate between the rear mounts & plate welded on inside of support plate [on inside of boot rail] with a flat plate under floor. flat plate would be a bit bigger than the aftermarket plates fitted. refer pic below

Image

yellow lines refer to where plates would be fitted with one in wheel holder welded in

this IS what i would prefer to put in instead of using the original color mat. :D

Image

Image

Image

i do have a better condition items currently put away [used]

also found that one of the retaining spring clips on a rear pad had NOT been fitted properly [was sticking out of the caliper not in]....... :x

looks like i will be going with the factory spare wheel mount as the AU spare wheel holder [aftermarket] has the rear resonator in the way of the bolts .....

i noticed the AU had flat plate from rail bolts to smaller bolts, will incorporate this idea as will save welding factory bracket to rail due to resonator in the way.

welll underside of car is now clean :lol hopefully i missed nothing

bolts on the factory holder are slightly positioned differantly to the AU holder...... will see how i go  :|

going to try the smartbar on the BF wagooon to get an idea on how it will fit & what problems i may have. :?: :o

going pack to pullit & grab some more items & wheels....

was having a 'look' at me parts & cars  ....... and noticed the spare wheel holder in the back of the red EB wagooon ..... simpler design, but using the black trim & 'carpet' i have a 'hole' that must be filled. refer pic

Image

using the unit from the red wagooon [which was made using bent flat plate. you will understand when i put a pic up] i would then need to either enlarge the base plate to suit the factory lpg liner/carpet
OR go to a replacement floor mat...... which would be plastic

pic of item

Image

tempting item..............

found some good pics of the smartbar fitted to a ute.

Image

Image

hopefully i can do as good a job on mine

1. original aftermarket wheel holder

Image

2. original factory wheel holder

Image

3. another earlier aftermarket wheel holder

Image

4. take a leaf outa Drew's BF AWD Falcon Wagon wheel holder

 :? :o  8-)

sooo.......

have bit the bullet & using the spare wheel holder from the AU... as it will "sit" betterer... will put up pic of it tomorrow. it sits closer to the side of the car better & will insert another two bolts inside [beside] the cargo area rail with a plate [depending on how wheel sits 'in it'].

also picked up a BA/BF wagooon headlining [plain], FG ute head lining [with overhead light & standard interior light plus microphone] & a Territory headlining [with sunglasses holder & dimmable mirror]. will go back next week for the alloy wheels i forgot & a FG sedan roof lining with overhead light & standard interior light. :party2

AU wheel holder on left ....

Image

Image

took pics maybe 1/2 hour ago so night piccies  [couldn't see where to point the camera ] ... as mentioned the one on the left is the AU unit & with it sitting the way it is has the two bolts going through the chassis rail in the same place, just need to remodel & clean up the 'front' edge as it has been cut & bent slightly. might even move the flap at the base [inbetween the uprights] as it angles the wheel towards the side glass :?

also fitting the terri &/or the FG sunglass holders means converting the terri/FG sunvisors.........

came across a "smartbar" so bought it....

Image

on another note.....

Quote:
how many 'styles' did they make of this wheel style ??

Image

coz my 'odd' wheel centre does NOT look as per pic above

where the wheel cap goes it is a smaller opening for the cap to sit in [and more 'meat' between the wheel nuts/centre cap] & where the cap 'legs' go the wheel angles in so i cannot use ones i have here

will have to recheck the ones at the wreckers
- rechecked & not the same :?

so i need to find another that matches the other 3

finally recieved the FG/Terri sunglass holders.

the ute lining i grabbed [shown fitted with the Terri holder] was fitted with the FG standard interior light.

Image

with ute headlining trimmed a little

Image

funny part i found was the FG plastic support was the same width between sunviser holder clips as AU/BA/BF which i was not expecting.

now on the lookout for a sedan lining
