Tonights Blog.

Well I had a scare sorta, the missus took the car to duck down the shops and she was gone like 30 seconds and i asked what the go was?

Well after to talking to her at about 40km/h + it has a BAD knock i took it for a drive and sure enough a violent knock was occuring and at first i thought tailshaft then steering rack and then after a couple of trips up and down the block it pin pointed it was located in the front left wheel.

jacked the car up and took the centre cap off and then proceed to take the tyre off.

Low and behold FOUR of the wheel nuts was loose as a goose i took the remaining nut off checked the rotor and caliper and strut etc etc but the wheel back on and tighten the nuts to the right amount and then took it for a drive.

So thanks pedders for not tightening them enough.

FYI i went right around the car and re tightened the other nuts.

been there...... we had a landcruiser that actually lost one of it's wheels while going 80km down the street..

felt a funny vibration and had just said.. "somethings wrong" when we saw the back wheel overtake us and zoom off down the street in front of us.. than the back of the car sank and thinks got kinda iffy...

The guy who has just put that wheel on lost his job... rightly so as he could have killed someone.

In saying this i assume it was pedders fault as the last time that the front wheels were off was when the local one did a wheel alignment and rebalanced the fronts. Some Weeks Ago.

I doubt this but the missus parents said "oh sounds like someone was stealing ya wheels and got distuburded" hmmm  why would some one take the center cap off to get at the nuts and then put the centre cap back on when disturbed

Got the car back from the Smash Repairers and I couldn't be happier. Know I have to pull my finger out and clean the interior and start looking at small things so well "stands out" at the AFD.

Got to replace the cruise control buttons as they have fallen off. And reinstall the BA upper intake and other minor things.

Over the weekend.

I cleaned the engine bay area up abit, put the BA upper intake tub back with a small peice of 3" stainless steel exhaust from intake to airbox. Placed one of them small filter things onto the BA intake and one on the back of the tappet cover (couldn't get a peice of vaccum hose long enough).

Camera batteries are charging so i will place a picture up tomorrow.

Geoff.

Well, yesterday afternoon I replaced the broken cruise control buttons.

To remove them I made a tool, as I couldn't get the Trx Bit to remove the screws properly. Got a SuperCheap Auto grade screwdriver and cut, filed and bent it to fit perfectly into the screw, (with the battery disconnected) I removed the screws and proceeded to replace the buttons.

Today, I and the missus spent sometime today cleaning and armoralling the car for this weeks upcoming AFD. I also removed the Falcon's automatic aerial to sus out what was wrong with it, the nylon cord was all busted and alike so I will be replacing that in the upcoming week.

For the moment I am having dramas, my central locking is blowing fuses and I have done everything bar unplugging the rear looms from the doors or passangers. And my airnag light came on.

Well I'd thought I'd Blog....

Dog Bite
exterior-modifications-f15/how-to-fix-scratches-t79416.html

My dog decided that the newly painted front bar was a chew toy. I am currently bidding on some extractors on eBay and winning, should get them for around the 125 dollar mark landed. just got to get a cat converter.

All my issues with the central locking and airbag light dramas they fixed them itself
