ill do a update for him as he is on his way home, i swapped the doors over for him today, wasnt too dificult, apart from the new doors had EVERYTHING stripped from them, the front door even had the inside door handle removed... so a quick trip to bunnings had a new set of bolts to bolt it in, swapped the regulators over, door mechanisms and drivers mirror over, all the rest was pretty straight forward.
spotted some small rust on the inside of the drivers door where the mirror sits, then couldnt get the last screw undone, so got the angle grinder out and made a cut in it and was able to undo it. once we removed the mirror we seen a HEAP of rust, looks like the foam cover for the mirror was holding water and made it all rust. the new door is clean. had no alignment issues and his doors now lock and unlock as per factory. he seems pretty happy with the job.   new doors on. a few light scratches but no dents or rust

he is looking at going back to series 1 bonnet and grill, and i have a mate with one in his shed, same colour just sitting there. will be good to see the front get some colour

Dropped the roof liner off yesterday to the trimmers, will be ready some time next week, just have to go to the wreckers to grab 2 handles which sit above the doors, it came with the map lights and the rear lights

Well up date time
Picking up another engine next week from my au wrecker, got it for 120 bucks with 180 000kms on it, out of a s1 au fairmont, needs a new front main seal and a sump, will be going into my mechs shed for a gasket over haul and some minor work done to it, Will fit it probaly before it goes into paint Well my local pick a part today, they had there 50 bucks all you can carry day today and still going tommoro, So i headed down and found a s2 forte, so i grabed the 4 door trims, then i realised my au forte s1 99 model dosent have the electric windows wiring loom, so i now have to get some foam shaped and upholsterd to cover the power window holes in the front 2 door trims, i will drill out the speaker covers on the front so i can still use my manual windows but have s2 door trims, Grabbed the other matching front seat today and some plush carpert out of a fairmont, grabbed a set of the black scuff plates, drivers side weather shield, the rear roof handles for my roof liner I will go back tommoro, to grab a black centre console and a silver tbar slector surround and a few other bnits and peaces, anyways, ill get some pics up in the morning

 Got the roof liner retrimmed and picked it up today, ill fit it on sunday

Picked Up A Few Things For The Interior
Rear Parcel Shelf Carpert  Fairmont Plush Carpert, Gave it a wash after this photo, came out very nice  Fairmont cushion thingy  Silver Tbar Surround  Black Scuff Plates  Black Tbar Handle  Pair of front seats, also gave them a wash after this photo   ^^^ Only temp seats till i can find a set of black front and rear seats Assorted Trims Bits  Rear Door Grab Handle, had to get these becuase the series 2 roof liner required them

Havent had time to fit some of the interior as the weather up in queensland has been s**t, will try and do it next weekend now

Roof liner is in
  Interior out  Interior back in   Tbar And Hand brake  Interior is different colours, mostly the seats, doesnt matter as i will be getting set of seat covers designed to fit the au seats properly Car washed

The bonnet is the same colour as the drivers door , but the front guard looks a different colour to both of them.
When are you going to actually modify this car? I reckon it needs a 10 grand crank slipped into it.

its getting low k engine and box slipped into it next 3 to 4 weeks if every thing goes to plans then resprayed motn or 2 later down the track
