ive ran 3.73's behind the auto, and it stll felt like stock gearing

but with 4.11's it felt alot zippier around town, the change was great

Converting to manual is like $2000 and really not worth it, that money gets you the start of a turbo kit. (manifold, turbo and intercooler)
edit: I thought manual falcons would be cool, until I drove manual falcons. HUGE let down.

manual falcons go twice as hard as the auto equivalant, but they are all clunky to drive and nowhere near as smooth

i had my EF converted to manual, and went back to auto 12 months later

thanks slo247, and yeah i havnt driven a manual to know if id like it, got mates with them that say they are awesome, but then again the old btr is pretty smooth... gonna be a hard deccesion, also the money would make more sence to put towards turboeing later down the track:)!!

Manual conversion was worth it when you had old auto's like top loaders or C4's. The modern 4, 5 and six speed trannys are so good that who wants to be changing gears in city peak hour traffic.
