Water to air intercooler set up like the new fords. Paul is doing all the tuning for me also. I am just saving up for a few things like the ecu (wolf) etc and then I will get it all installed. I am hoping for around 300rwk from a standard bottom end. Did you do anything to your head or is is just standard? Standard head with a custom cam and upgraded springs and retainers ok cool. I am going a similar path. I have got a AU tickford head, with better springs and retainers and will be running a billet cam. I had the head all cleaned up etc as I will be running vapour injection so I had the valves hardend. What injection system you running?

Good for around 400rwk so plenty more than what I need. |

I'm looking at doing a charged setup as well, I've got some bottom end components coming, just some cast pistons, rods and rings though.
How does the T5 stand up to the charger? Also would you go the Eaton M112 again or Sprintex if you could do it again? |

I like torque though and I want something friendly to drive on the street. |

At 13psi it's a little bit of a pig but that's the limit of the j3

In what way is it a pig at 13psi? I'm supercharging my daily soon and was planning to run around 12-13psi using a J3 chip and was hoping it would be a nice daily driver. Cheers |

Cheers the problem is that the j3 has limitations when it comes to "fine tuning" low boost, its great at WOT but low boost say 4-6psi its rich. i have a boost cut defender because its putting out more boost that the ecu and map can read. ill be goin for a new ecu once i go back onto gas and then it will be alot better and the AFR will be smoother in the midrange and low boost (AKA driving normally) im coming up to NSW for AFD late this month with a group of mates and where talking about coming back thru Canberra if your free while where there ill take you for a spin and show you.

I would have thought with more time on the dyno you should be able to sort that out. If it's not a boost mapped tune then that'd explain it. What injectors/reg are you running?

What injectors/reg are you running? um 42lb injectors i think and a adjustable regulator, with me going back to lpg soon its not worth spending the dyno time on the tune to get it better. its drivable and behaves itself 90% of the time. ide just gain a little bit of fuel economy round town.

Out of curiosity once the car been tuned. If you dont thrash it, what sort of fuel economy are you looking at LPG vs Petrol?
I am setting mine up to run on both petrol and LPG also. |
