Have you worked out the steering column yet?

You need to do the rack as well as the splines are different to EA-D for the intermediate shaft.

You'll have to drill some holes for the column at the firewall.

I think Late ED had the EF/L/AU style setup.

Somebody who knows what they are talking about will know for sure.

I'm sure he has it all figured out anyway....

Hey Buddy...

Just wizzing through the last page here...

You're going to run an EF/EL wheel in an ED?

I have done it... I made a hybrid steering column which is the ED bottom and the EL top section...

It is all detailed in my build (link in sig) towards the start of it all...

I now run a BA wheel and as soon as I find an FG airbag I have an FG wheel ready to go...

As noted racks are different input shaft... Intermediate shaft is too hard and risky to modify... Safest way I fund was the hybrid column...

Been a while since these posts you may even have it sorted by now... Just dropping the hints in though...

Cheers,
Tim

Cheer Timmy, Nah.. hasn't been done.... The thought was to just get a ef/el steering rack and so on and just do it that way... But, gonna have to buy a new steering column anyhow... since we kinda stuffed mine up breaking them apart....
Not much has been done to car.... Having no time and a good mate of 15 years death... Just been doing nothing to my car, and everything to everyone else car... haha
