That's it krazed its a horrible feeling but it is what it is... read another post of yours and will probably wait it out and get something like a BF xr6t or FG xr6t.

Ahhhh on Bry's post. Yeah, I'm not going to go boosted for a while, even when I get my opens. Hence why I'm trying to get an ex police FG XT now, do it up to a comfortable level and leave it at that

Hey Guy's,
I took some photo's of the Diff that krazed gave me and thought it would post them up. The two bolts that will not come out look like they may need to be drilled out, only thing I was worried about was that they may be there for a reason? The cracking on the outer housing looks like it has come from the inside but it's hard to tell. Also noticed that the yellow sticker that identifies the gear ratios etc. is well as you can see not that helpful with identifying what type of Diff it is. I took a photo of the inside just in case anyone could identify what kind of diff I have sitting on my deck, I'm not doubting anyone I would just like to get a rough idea before I take it somewhere and spend money on it. I haven't had a chance to take anymore photos of the exhaust but I should have a chance to take some when my new radiator arrives next week Should also have new rubber on the two BA XR6 MKII Wheels I have waiting to go on the car.

Small Update,
I have received the SS Throttle Body and Growler Intake : ) Next intake change will be cutting and fitting the FG XR8 snorkel to replace the dud stock snorkel. Also the new Radiator has arrived just waiting on the hose's then that will go in. Best of all this week I will be paying for 6 months rego and getting the pacemaker 4490's I'm so happy that the car is finally at this stage, the plan is to get a tune around June so if I do anything else it will probably just be minor or cosmetic. I also acquired a 04 BA MKII XR6 which I believe will become a straight line car, I want to strip the interior out as its f**k. Then pull out the engine and begin stripping that then rebuilding it, over course it will be a long way off and might just become parts for the BA but only time will tell.

So Yesterday I installed the new alloy radiator with all new hose's and tomorrow I will be changing the AT fluid and filter, Also bought the pacemaker 4490's today and they should arrive early next week, then its time to save for a tune.
Would anyone know a good place to get a tune done, I don't mind going to Brisbane and didn't want a custom one just a generic to help the car figure out what has been changed.

Finally received the 4490's and installed them the other day...
I was a little bit surprized that it changed the exhaust note, didn't expect that much of a difference. They have twisted the exhaust a smidge so I will have to cut out some more of the rear bar but apart from that I have no complaints. So far I have put the following parts into the car, Alloy Radiator Radiator Hoses/Heater Hoses Thermo Fan Thermostat Power Steering Hose Fuel Filter Growler Air Intake SS Inductions 75mm Throttle Body Pacemaker 4490's Venom 100cpsi Hybrid Cat 2.5inch into 3inch XForce Twin 2.5inch Exhuast System 30mm Whiteline Front Sway Bar Whiteline Adjustable Front Sway Bar Links 22mm Whiteline Adjustable Rear Sway Bar SL King Springs Front and Rear Lowerd Monroe GT Sport Shocks Front and Rear Super Pro Bushes for the Front End Upper and Lower Control Arm's BA XR6 MK II Wheels BA XR6 Leather Steering Wheel BA XR6 Cup Holder BA XR6 Sports Pedals The next thing will be a fluid\filter change on the Auto Trans, then Slotted Front Brake Rotors and Bendix Pads. After all of that it will be off for a tune in the new year. Then we see how long it takes for something to frig up.

The engine how it will be for the drags, was going to do the oil change might still do it but It definitely needed a top up. Have stared degreasing the engine bay, going to post pone the AT fluid change it seems to be running fine. Probably going to paint the crank case cover or rocker cover and possibly install street cams when painting Who would be the best to go to for cams, crow or cms and what is involved because it doesn't seem like it would be to hard to install them just wanted to try spend less money. Haven't found any threads outlying the process of buying/installing cams.

Not sure on process, but go with crow cams. If you're after more torque with heaps of midrange, get their stage 2 or 3, but if you want more mid and top end then go higher. but be wary, going too big will mean valve springs and a higher stall converter also.

Yeah searching across two forums for info on a friggin cam install is doing my head in.
I'll just call get prices part numbers etc and then get told that I shouldn't attempt it myself blah blah blah. I will probably end up getting new valve springs with them not to sure about the stall converter should look into that as well but I didn't want to go to big so I might get away without a higher stall.

well the BA has a 2000rpm stall, which in all honesty is quite cr@p for getting off the line. Even getting a slight upgrade too 2500rpm will improve launch power a lot.
Also keep in mind, cams will NEED to be tuned in. So maybe find a place that can install and tune for a deal (eg. place i do my tuning with do installs etc, for them to install cams and then re-tune costs about a grand, would be 2+ if fresh custom tune for a BA onwards).

Yeah Maybe just a minor stall upgrade with cams and valve springs, you motioned this placed last time I asked about tunes.
I have started saving $$ so im hoping it wont be to far away but I will get the parts then book it in for the install and tune. Might drop the trans prior to all of this and install the high stall, that doesn't need a tune or anything straight away does it?

Been getting quite bored in the afternoon when I get home so I have started panting all the cars interior trim, also bought a helmet for willow bank wallet is $200 lighter Also started painting the old rims gloss black.
Thinking about doing my current rims a satin silver, I would like to go black but don't think it would match the car.

yeah might go black haha did you have the tyres off the rims then have them put on or did you tape up the tyre.
I didn't bother with the old ones as the tyres are rooted.
