Good shocks there. Have you put them in yet?

Save the coin and do it yourself man.
Not hard, honestly. I did my rears already, just waiting to put fronts in (need a grinder to cut little slots into the head of the screws to remove the PCM, you'll understand why when you see them lol). Buy a Max Ellery's workbook. Costs like $30. Details on everything to do.

I wouldn't mind doing the front myself thought a spring compressor was involved which deterred me.(Limited by tools)
I was going to get a 28 point inspection for the list of dud parts then start replacing them myself and ask if they can install the front shocks and try to walk out with a light hit to the pocket. The Pedders Inspection is on Saturday and I don't have to go back if i don't want to but the small things like bump stops, bushes, camber kit etc. could all be done at the same time as the front shocks. Oh thought I would add that when I bought the car it already had king springs which have been held back due to stock shocks hence the replacements. We will see I don't get that much time to work on the car only some weekends. Was going to use the good old Haynes manual for the rear. |

Fair enough mate.
Always good to have an inspection too see what's going on, and what needs replacing. Should do the same for mine. I know some bushes do need replacing lol

Thought I would make a smallish update just before all the work happens next weekend.
I have acquired front end super pro bushes for the control arms (Thanks to Pat from Wholesale Suspension) which will go in when the front shock's are installed next Friday, white line heavy duty sway bar links to accompany the upgraded sway bars fresh form KrazeD late BA : (. Then the exhaust can be installed, once again thank you to KrazeD, as well as the rear end shocks and bushes which I will attempt myself still probably a few weeks off from doing the rear end but hey I have made a start, I just hope my car appreciates it haha I know I will. Once I have all the parts and start the work photos will follow. |

Thanks mate.
I can help you put the rear shocks in while I'm there if you like? It takes about 25-30 minutes really lol

Took a few Pictures of the engine bay after I finished my first draft air intake and a spot of painting.
{DESCRIPTION} and yes I notice the Thermostat housing leaking, replacement seal and thermostat on its way {DESCRIPTION} and I am awaiting a crankcase filter which is taking its sweet A$$ time. |

Thought of making up some shielding for the pod, to act as a scoop (much like how a $400 cai works lol)

The thought has crossed my mind, cheapest opt would be to mount it in the original air box but im sort of holding out for the growler kit and SS inductions TB you will see
For now im not that fussed I could always save $500 over the next few months and get the revised growler kit. I know you can buy a cheaper style of heat shield for the pod filters but its still going to suck hot air in. Could buy some thin sheets of aluminum and work something out, I'm pretty good with that sort of stuff just hard to find time for it. True. I guess it's doing a good enough job as it is atm. If you want, I've got the lower snorkal airbox that I can bring up on the weekend? Will be better than a lonely pod filter.
