There are some mods, but not that many to fit EF trims

from what i know you need to modify/swap the door handle bars inside the door and fit power mirrors if you dont already have them.

LOL, if Terrorist Ghia can to the conversion, any one can!!!!

Well, this weekend I took my wife and son down to Canberra to catch up with some old family friends. Had a good time yada yada yada.

The relevant part is of course how the EB went.

We did roughly 780km round trip, including carting five adults around Canberra. Fuel consumption for the trip was an average of 9.8l/100ks. I was vey happy with this figure. I also noted that out on the open highway the EB would cruise along sipping only 6l/100ks on flat stretches. I really can't complain about that.

I did have one mishap though.

The EB being on SuperLows along with luggage and at this point 3 adults, didn't appreciate me navigating speedhumps. I managed to catch the front of the main muffler on a bolt protruding from the top of those yellow and black plastic things they stick in carparks. Put a nice dent in the front and a small split!!! Bah!!!

I will try and patch it with some muffler putty tomorrow.

I really have to do something about the pinion angle as with all the weight in you could really feel it grumbling.

But overall, was very happy with the way the EB performed. Certainly gave a few newer cars a fright.

Cheers
BenJ

6l per 100k? s**t. That's good. Anyone care to explain how I could get that from my EF Wagon? Oh - Maybe pumping the tyres up to 60PSI... Changing the diff ratio...

Maybe I could even take the 500kg of crap out the boot? .,.......

Bugger, 6/100 does sound awful nice, but at the end of the day it's only a few litres per 100k, which is only going to be around $5 at the most.

I do average 10-11 per 100 over a similar sort of distance. Not sure how many bloody great mountains you have to go over and how straight your roads are, but I ain't competing.

At least, not until I pump up the tyres and get the missus to shed her extra tyre.

Well Hello Again

Since I got the USC skirts and apron I have been itching to get them on.

First however they needed a bit of TLC with some fibreglass. Many thanks to Paulc (Southwest Customs) for the glass work.

While I want to go the Red over Grey look, I don't have the time at the moment. So I got busy this week and broke out the Le Mans Red rattle cans.

I am quite happy with the outcome.

Some pics.

I will give her a wash and get some better pics when the sun is shining.

On another note, the radiator died last monday. I was pulling in to my driveway and noted the temp was a bit warmer than usual. Then I could smell 'THAT' smell. You all know what I mean. I popped the hood and F#@K ME, the plastic pipe the top radiator hose goes on had snapped clean off!!!!! I have never seen that before.

Luckily for me I remembered where a radiator was going to waste (Cheers Joe) and Paulc was able to pick it up and drop by with it. So a few hours later the EB was up and running again. I feel really lucky that it happened then and not half way to Bathurst this Saturday.

I have also installed a new head unit. Nothing fancy but it does have USB and SD capabilty, along with bluetooth for handsfree phone operation. Thanks to Snap0964 for the donation.

Cheers
BenJ

with the kit look 200% better, nice !!..especially the rear shot, looks tough as

needs a more 'aggressive' front skirt though as it blends into the bumper too much, whereas the side and rear skirts stand out nicely

Dude - Very swish. How's the budget going? Is it going to blow out to include a fat lip for its face? And hey - the bright bloody red never did any harm. Looks sweet like that until the whole lot gets your update scheme.

WOW, that looks very nice. There is a set of these at a wrecker up here, maybe i'll get them this weekend.

It looks so good from every angle, especially the back, the bobtail spoiler suits the kit perfect.

Nice work Ben
