Actually, it does have the bonnet pin recesses.

But it is so badly ridden with rust that it is not salvagable. The XB GT bonnet and my spare EB bonnet are going away together shortly to be melded. Don't expect results in the near future though.

The car in the background is my Wife's ED Fairmont Ghia, with factory fitted Sprint Kit. The seats are now residing in my EB.

My old EB Fairmont is due to go to the crushers soon. There is nothing left of value in it. All the good bits are in my Red EB or have been parted out to fellow boxcar owners here in Sydney.

Cheers
BenJ

Does still have things like all the interior plastics etc (mostly things like the C pillar plastics etc)? My wifes EB has terrible plastics and they need replacing. Just wondering is all :)

Cheers

NOPE.

Everything, and I mean everything, has been stripped out. Even the wiring looms, dash etc are all gone.

Most of it is in my EB.

Well, the time has come for this story to end.

I have now purchased a wagon. I have started a new thread here.

My sedan will donate all of the good parts to the wagon, and be returned to mostly stock.

It has been fun, and I have learnt a lot. Those lessons will be used in the Wagon.

I thank all of you who have contributed in this thread, and hope you will do so in the new one.

Cheers
BenJ

Oh well, its sad to see, but the wagon will be a beautiful chariot indeed.

I'd like to thank you for this thread for inspiring 95% of the work done to my EB. Has been a great read. Will watch the wagon thread closely.
;)

That's sad to hear BenJ! But the wagon looks like a good buy, will enjoy watching the progress of the new beast! (I have to go read the wagon build thread now to find out more :P  )

Hey fellas, it's with a heavy heart that I let you all know that Ben passed away yesterday peacefully, I'm not sure on how or why, I'm giving his family respect, but I felt it to be important that the people he touched over the years know.

Rest in peace big fella.
