And if my memory serves me correctly, Ben and I share the same employer. How do you get around the proxy Ben? I have to use my damn mobile phone checking this and other sites whilst at work:(

Looks like a nice straight wagon.

Not many around with the V8. Pity the 6 goes better hehe.

Bit pricey though for me, not to mention it has no rego and needs some repairs. Then again, anything over $400 is out of my range LOL.

LOL, I have driven an EB V8, and my Red EB went better.

I used to own Val V8s.

I have had a VE VIP to which I had fitted a 360 and 727, and later I had Chrysler by Chrysler, which I stripped it of the good bits, and built up a VJ sedan with the CxC front end and 360, edelbrock manifold, 650 Holley etc.

IF someone was to give me 5.6 donk, then I might be convinced to throw it in the Wagon, but for now, the six has the best combination of power, economy, driveability and general enjoyment.

Won't be long before it gets a performance upgrade too.

Cheers
BenJ

I have however always had a great liking for straight sixes.

My first car was a VE Val Wagon with a slant Six. I have also owned a VJ Ute with a 265 and 4 speed. I dumped the exhaust at the diff LOL it sounded awesome.

I really like the sound of a sweet six, and a nice V8 is just as nice.

Yes, someone else mentioned that they saw a Black XR Wagon up your way.

Not to many around. I have seen pics of 4 other boxcar wagons in Black Pearl, but mine is the only Fairmont Ghia I know of.

Cheers
