I have the same terminals on the Mav. I didnt bother getting the one with the volts guage in it but cause I have a twin LCD guage in the cab to monitor the twin battery setup. They do make things easier to setup.
For a really good distribution link pop into the electrical wholesalers and ask for a Blue Point link.
Huge brass block in a plastic case. You can put the starter motor cable in either side of it and there is provision for about another 12 feeds coming off it. Very handy for hooking up driving lights , fog lights , fans.......................as I have. Best bit of then only one wire is required off the battery.
The blue point link is rated for about 500 continuous amps as they are used in the electrical distribution industry.

Hey Ben, bloody good work on the wagon. You're doing the things that are really bugging me whenever I pop my bonnet. Masses of wires and nests everywhere. I might need to come down your way and you can do mine for me

Also, love your sunroof, great work there! I'll have to chat about this when I come down to Liverpool.

Looks neat, but I'd be careful with an unfused distro block in an area that's highly likely to be crumpled in a front ender... personally I kept the wires running to the terminals but either extended them or used conduit to make them neat.

Hey Ben
I don't know if you happen to read Zoom Mag but i got this message and thought i'd share it...

In an upcoming issue we'll be exploring the potential of backyard
engineering and just what is possible when it comes to
building/modifying cars in your backyard, garage, shed or driveway at
home.

We're looking for three great examples of Zoom readers'
cars that have been put together in a backyard. What we're after are
stories of at-home modifications with info on how you overcame the
challenges of not being in a fully equipped workshop with a team of
professionals to do the work.

We love our home-built rides at
Zoom and we want to see yours. Post your pics and stories to this
Facebook page or contact us on the email link in the contact section.

i done the exact same thing with my battery terminals over 12 months ago, i had 1 issue with melted distro block but that because i used an 8g wire to the block and it got too hot as the alternator wire went back to there and melted it, i upgraded the distroblock and installed a 4g and havnt had an issue since. tho i do run my amp off the battery still

not as neat but the same thing

I dont think there would be a Jaycar that does have everything on the shelf from the catalog.

But your local Jaycar should very easily be able to order anything out of the catolog.

Hey Huggie, nice job there mate. Seems great minds think alike LOL

I found the battery terminals and the distribution blocks on the shelf at both the local Jaycar stores near me.

Cheers

Gotta say BenJ for a poor old 6cyl box-car wagon  she is looking pretty trick, the roof looked sweet and thought the terminals look trick (albeit a little doof-doof) might have to do mine as well! keep up the good work

So after suffering a few knocks on the head from the Tailgate falling down unexpectedly, I finally decided to grab a set of new Gas Struts off Ebay for the grand sum of $37 delivered.

Now, instead of almost falling down, the tailgate lifts itself up from around the quarter open mark.

LOVE IT!!

It opens up higher now too.

Should have done this months ago. I have only been watching these on Ebay for around six months, but for some reason kept putting it off.

Cheers
BenJ

I just did the same to my Territory thanks to Papa Smurf, boy does it make a difference. Can't say I've had a tailgate that opens on its own accord in a long time. Why do we put it off for so long?

LOL! I am still putting it off but since chatting with Ben I may actually get my A into G! :)

You CAN buy New from Ford for about $110.00 for the pair but I may be able to get them cheaper for you

There ARE a set of struts for the EA/EB/ED wagon that are extra lift ones.

PS, Sorry Ben, to hijack your thread :)
