Did I miss the bit of this thread where BenJ fitted an AU BBM? And is it just the top half? Hmmm. Confused now as to what is going on in the area of air and fuel pressure / flow meters and the like.

Am I making sense here?

Ah. Bugger, maybe it is later EL or something then?

These gills between the runners...
These webs between the fingers...
These alloy supports between bulges...
These bits that go between the pipes the air goes through...

Have a look at the EF and early EL ones... NOT present...?...

Also makes polishing the BBM top a problem, which is why I went back to the manifold off the EL...

LOL, no AU BBM on my car.

My engine is a very late non Hybrid model, and that is the manifold that came with it.

Cheers

that ics plate is not there for the reason u gave....who told u that?

its there because on an lpg system the pcv leans out cyls 3 and 4 because the manifold is full of a combined fuel/air mix on lpg as opposed to just air on petrol only versions...the plate introduces pcv air further up giving it a better chance to mix

An LPG installer gave me that info, but what you say also makes sense. In reality it actually achieves objectives, so, win win, all round for me.

ben, EF's also had that valve under the ISC as i have one here that came on my EL wagon (had EF motor)

ill be using it when i boost the lane so i can run a catch can and still feed it legally back into the motor. but as ill be staying petrol i wont be needing the lube job ;)

Now that is not a bad idea there Huggie.

Cheers
BenJ

I have one of these as well that I will be installing soon, I was also under the impression that it lubricates the ISC. because the one I pulled off at u pull it had an oil build up inside it.

1 question though Ben, I thought the hose from the PCV was left alone and you where meant to tee it off and add a new hose running to the ISC?

The AU that I pulled it off was set up just the way I installed it. I plugged the other end of PCV pipe that runs to the manifold with a big bolt.

Cheers

I also got an LPG fuel gauge from an EF/EL vehicle as they have a different resistance to the EB sender. I installed it and the dash fuel gauge already seems to be more accurate. (Yes Snap, I know you told me to do this over a year ago. I am a slow learner.)

Here's a good explanation for that ISC plate:

Not that you'll need it for very long  .

Well, it would appear that I will be buying a reco power steering pump in the next few weeks.

Does anyone have a recommendation of where to go to in the Sydney area to purchase one?

Cheers

Yep, leaking from the front seal now.

I have now put in a third power steering pump which is a loaner (Cheers SWC) until I can source a good one. So far it appears to be holding up well.

Cheers
