Hey Ben, This is going back to nearly when you got the EB but when you put the 1.5" blocks in, did it sit level on level ground with the front or was the front a little higher than the rear? My wagon looks near XR height on the front but im wondering if i lower it the 1.5" in the rear if it will sit lower than the front or if it would look normal.

Sorry if i confused you...

With the Std Springs in the front and 1.5" blocks in the rear, the front was a bit higher than the rear.

Cheers
BenJ

That looks excellent BenJ, very nice. I have to know, what gearboot and knob are you using? They look great.

The gearboot is an EL GT item, which I believe is now obsolete. The Gear Knob is just a SAAS Billet Alloy item that I purchased at my local Auto Barn.

Cheers

Thanks. :D

For anybody interested, the EL GT Gear boot is indeed obsolete, however a British mob on Ebay does new ones for under $50 posted.

I'll keep an eye out for a gear knob like that, I'm surprised its made by SAAS, looks great.

I have bought the EB Leather gear boot from that ebay seller, and it is made of real leather, and I will say it smells great. The Ford EL GT one in not real leather.

Cheers

Yes, mate. I have had that in mind for a long while. SWC has some SR ones on his Wagon, and when we first built and fitted the MMM rear bar, we decided that the BA skirts would tie the front BA bar and rear together nicely.

I have now acquired the BA Wagon skirts, and have trial fitted, and trimmed around the B Pillar base and dogleg. I am now figuring out how to shorten the front the 15mm it sticks out too far, and have a good idea on how to go about that. Details will come when I get it done.

Oh, I also now have the MMM Rear Bar at home. It is now ready for the final prep work and then paint.

Cheers
BenJ

Prowler Progress.

During the week, after work, and over this week end, I have been able to make some really good progress on the wheels.

After finishing stripping and polishing the second wheel, I masked up the rims and applied some etch primer to the spokes.
Image

This was followed by a coat of spray putty, which was then sanded smooth.
Image

I then laid down two coats of Jet Black sanding with 800 between coats, before loading up the Black Pearl and putting on two coats, removing a run, and then the final coat of Black Pearl. I have removed the masking tape off one wheel to have a look.
Image

If I can get a fine afternoon tomorrow or Tuesday, I will clear coat both rims, and then at the end of the week have them fitted to the car in place of the two remaining rims, and then start the process all over again. SIGH.

Cheers
BenJ
