Mate that looks real cool, love the stance it has with the re-vamped wheels. The wheels ties in well with the black body colour and the chrome/silver trimmings.

Quick Text Update.
The remaining two Wheels are now in Spray Putty. Hopefully they should be painted by the end of the weekend, and then on the car during the week. My family and I are ducking down to Nowra, approx 2.5hrs each way to see my daughter dance in 'Le Ballet Rock'. She has been touring for the last two weeks and finishes up this weekend. Fitting that in, and my lovely Wife's birthday, around wheel painting will be somewhat awkward, but I will do my best. Cheers BenJ

The things we have to do hey Ben to allow some space for family commitments Everyone has to do it, and when your ride is done it makes you appreciate it even more, because so much get's in the way before it's complete. Atm, i find a combination of the weather, family commitments & my new job to be the issues with getting time to work on my car's. Cheers ToranaGuy

Hey All.
I did manage to get the wheels painted, on my wifes birthday, and got them fitted early last week. Pics of the left side are already posted, so here is a couple of the right hand side. The positive responses I have had re the new look wheels has been great. From my own perspective, I really am delighted to have the same wheels on both sides of the car for the first time since September last year. The visual change really is in keeping with the overall look of the Wagon, and will suit the body kit once it is fitted. While the time investment can be considerable, the $$$ value of doing this myself has been less than $100 including having the tires stripped on and off etc. While I had the paint stuff all out, I also re did the rear wheel arches and doglegs. While the finish is by no means great, it is a whole lot better than the faded black primer that was on there before. Another area to receive overdue attention was the black door spears. I originally painted these with $2 Satin Black paint from Super Cheap. Over the last three years and two cars, there was a substantial amount of wear, scratches an marks. I disassembled all the door trims so I only had the top part of the trim with the spear on it left. I masked up around the spears, sanded and repainted them with Black Pearl, and the Satin Clear coat to match the Instrument Cluster Surround. I only managed to grab a couple of quick snaps of the finished product. The interior is close to being finished. I will be painting the steering column shroud, as it now looks like crap compared to the newly painted Instrument Cluster Surround, and I want to upgrade the combination switch stalks to AU spec, so I can have the cruise on/off switch on the indicator stalk. I have been looking around for a replacement steering wheel. I would like a wheel that is a bit larger in diametre, which is proving more difficult to find than I thought it would. The stereo will get an upgrade at some point too, but I am not in a hurry for that. I guess we will see what else pops up over time at the right price. Hope you are all well. Cheers BenJ

Looking good, the rear arches and doglegs look much tidier too.
The only thing letting the interior down is the front seats. You could probably still chase down some new trims for them, wouldn't cost a huge amount. |

I had the drivers seat outside bolsters & material re-trimmed last year on my EB2 Ghia full leather seat, cost me $180. The result was worth the money. BenJ -> Nice work dude, keep it up, it's all looking great! Cheers ToranaGuy
