OK you clowns.
Keep your wet dreams out of this CAR related build thread. Besides, I am too good for both of you. Wiring loom and BA throttle pedal removed from test car this afternoon. Have started final wrap with electrical tape. Cheers BenJ

BA DOHC 30.7 - General Prep Update + Weekend Plans
General Prep Update I am just about all ready now for Friday. Yesterday I picked up some Penrite 75W-85 oil for the T5, so it will get a birthday too. This is the oil recommended by Penrite and is a semi synthetic type. I received the new Power Steering replacement nut, and cut the old one off last night and the new one clipped on easily. I have made some enquiries regarding a custom power steering pressure hose and will arrange that in a couple of weeks to ensure longevity and reliability. I have now finished taping up the new wiring loom, and the throttle pedal has been removed from the ED Ghia. This afternoon I installed the OBDII port in its new home. I have located it on the top of the glovebox roof. No pics for now, but there will be plenty over the weekend. I have done a bit of research on the subject of engine oil, and was to-ing and fro-ing over what weight of oil to use. As the engine will primarily be run on LPG, I have decided to go with the factory recommendation of 15W-40 for LPG engines. As this is what I used to start the engine etc, I will use the same oil as it only had idle time on it, and replace it after a month or so with some fresh oil and filter then. Weekend Plans Friday 9.am - remove bonnet and front and rear bumpers, drain water, drive into position. By 12pm - EL engine and T5 out of car, start LPG swap By 2pm - Old K Frame out, then degrease/clean and tidy up engine bay By 5pm - New K Frame in, A/C pipes start on wiring loom Saturday AM - Finish LPG swap, BBM installed, T5 swapped, wiring loom finished By 5pm - BA Engine and T5 sitting in engine bay, wiring connected and test started, maybe exhaust done Sunday - Exhaust finished, button up cooling system, wiring etc etc Bumper bars replaced, and test drive - LPG Tune I will update as to our progress over the weekend. Cheers BenJ

Great idea on the game plan Ben, I'm sure it will run smoothly for you!
As for the engines out, I've pulled many Eseries engines & transmissions, both auto & manual, out in under 3hrs, It's not all that hard. The ED & earlier car's are only slightly harder imho. Hell, I can tell you all the v8's are simpler to remove & install..... Cheers ToranaGuy
