Yes, I realise that.

QLD Trip - November 2012

Hi All.

On Wednesday 21st I drove from Sydney to Bli Bli, near Maroochydoore.

Left home a bit before 6am and headed up the Putty Rd from Sydney as it is more 'interesting' to drive. Arrived approx 10.30am, so 4.5 hours, just about an hour less than what Google Maps reckons it should take LOL.

Had a couple of hours break in Tamworth while I caught up with some old friends, and then kept on heading north.

Decided not to go through Brisbane as it would have been peak hour, and went through Toowoomba and then Esk on the way through to the Sunshine Coast. Again, a more 'interesting' drive that way.

I am pleased to report that my fuel consumption on LPG is a touch under 12L/100km, and considering the errr 'interesting' route decisions and the eagerness in which I, ahhh, attacked those routes, I am quite happy.

I am heading down to Brisbane Friday night to meet up with a couple of the Fordmods QLD guys near Portside Warf, Hercules St, Hamilton, so if anyone wants to come and say hi, I will be arriving there between 6pm and 6.30pm.

Cheers
BenJ

that's awesome consumption for gas Ben, glad to see you got there safely and that the conversion is reaping the rewards of the research and hours you've put into it, congratulations.

Cool.

That is the main reason I post up my mods, allowing others to have a go if they want.

Cheers

Yeah might be older but man its way better then the EF in everyway, aircon is ice cold for the kids, and suspension is firm and nice, bit of a slip in the trans from time to time but fluid needs changing (browny color) same with engine oil, for some strange reason there is a cork rocker cover gasket that's leaking like a...yeah lol.

Good morning my friend!

Your response is somewhat underwhelming, as I was expecting the above comment to be accompanied by a lecture regarding the evils of bolt on hub adapters blah blah blah.

I guess I will have to wait to get that part in person LOL.

Cheers
BenJ
