OK, Another Update

Last weekend I decided to have a go at installing the EB11 Air Con lines.

The Wagon, being an EB1, had the early EA type A/C lines, which are not compatible with the later model A/C Compressors. The EA lines, for the uninitiated, run along underneath the log manifold and then up the firewall to the TX valve. The EB11 A/C lines go straight up and over the Strut Tower and straight-ish back to the TX valve. That is all good and well, but in the Wagon there is the small matter of the LPG Converter being right smack bang in the way.

So after a bit of twisting and delicate manipulation, and dissasembling half the front of the car, I managed to get the A/C lines bolted in to the TX valve, and the A/C Compressor.

I am still to install the A/C Condensor, and will get some A/C refrigerant grease to install the O Rings before going to see about a Gas refill. Some cold air would be sweet.

I also scored some EL Tail Lights.

Adds a bit of class to the back end, and once the Alloy Wheels are back on will Tie it all in nicely.

As you can see, my driveway sucks, and is the main reason the Wagon is not sitting on it's guts, as the guts would end up on the driveway every damn time. Used to give me the s**t in the Red EB. You should see the flat spot on the bottom of the Red EBs exhaust.

I also modded an EL fuel flap to the EB hinge, but found that due to the LPG filler, the extra support of the metal bracket in the EL flap, the lid would not close. Bummer. Am now eyeing off a tin of bog and the dremel to cut off the finger piece of the plastic EB fuel flap and fill in the hole.

Thats it for today. Will see if I get anything else done during the week.

Cheers
BenJ

BenJ,
The tail lights look the goods, to finish it off, you need to get yourself an EL t'gate garnish, as they have clear reverse light lens's unlike the EA - EF ones that are tinted..

Well, actually, I am going to 'smoke' the EL lenses to match the EB garnish.

Why are you using BENJ's thread to slag me off and then just add in a little bit about "what are you doing Benj?..." That's a hijack in itself. Anyone is entitled to their opinion of anyone. If I am a fool in your eyes, I don't give a s**t. I've been called a lot worse by a lot more knowledgeable people than your good self.

Go buy one of your idiot signs. Or maybe organise a group buy of idiot signs for the lot of us. Maybe my signature is poking fun at myself, unfortunately Waggin won't let you turn of your signature on a post by post basis anymore.

Now that we have that sorted Fraudie, I'd better say something about BENJ's build just in case the thread hijack Police come by with their tazers...

"Hey Benj, what are you up to this weekend? More bits and pieces I guess."

What is wrong with Fiends sig?
Is it the sig or what he has undernieth it?

Plenty of people on this site like Fiends graffic skills, and Fiend has been kind enough to make sigs for us.

Including

MYSELF
PIMP_LTD
FORDFAIRMONT
HUGGIEBEAR
NZEA
And yes even BENJ's sig was made by Fiend

There are at least 3 more I know of but I cant recall there names at presant

Feeling a little left out are we?
Are you jealous because Fiend never made you one?
You wont get one barkin at him like that.

Oh hi Ben hows it going mate, the EL tail lights are an improvment. What bits and pieces are you up to this weekend.

Whatever
