Yes, Back on Topic Fellas. LOL

OK, today I finally got some 17" wheels.

If you follow Troyman's thread, you will have seen that he has upgraded to 18s, and weeks ago I put my hand up for first option if he did upgrade. After working out a mutually agreeable price, some $$$ were handed over, and I am now the proud owner of 17" CSA Prowlers.

As it was raining, which didn't stop me putting them on, I only have one quick photo.

Image

I will get some more tomorrow afternoon.

Cheers
BenJ

Fiend, Its hard to read a thread when it becomes full of those damn blue boxes.

BenJ, it looks like the center caps are bare. Is the CSA logo a sticker that comes off or what?

I have the same wheels and I reckon it looks better with the blank center. Cheers.

What size tyres are on there BENJ? Think this has been said before, but the 245/45/17's fill up the rear a bit more, without d**k around with your speedo too much.

Tyres are 234/45/17s. And yes when I need to 'purchase' new tyres I will look at other alternatives. I have however scored 4 free 235/45/17s, so that might be a bit in the future.

Yes, I noted that they were painted while adding some anti rattle electrical tape :D as they were a bit loose. All good now.

Thanks mate. I will still have the black 16s if I ever feel nostalgic. Not likely though! It will be even better once I finish the bonnet, and then the sunroof, and paint the spare doors, and there is a certain XR6 Tailgate to be delivered and . . . . . . . it goes on.

I have now been for a bit of the drive, and the ride is not as harsh as I thought it might be due to the lower profile tyres, so that is good. Looking at the photo, I am now even more convinced I need to loose more ride height out of the rear. Will look in to that futher.

Other things I got done today, include dropping the ED Engine and Auto, back in to the ED. It is bolted in, but I have not hooked anything else up yet.

Cheers
BenJ

BenJ. Love this thread. Absolute inspiration - to the point where I'm looking for a boxcar wagon EA-ED so I can do similar! Will have to pick your brains if you would be so kind at some stage to start understanding what I'm up against
